Easy to Read Baby Food Labels

We have officially entered the baby food stage with Max now that he is just shy of six-months-old. How did that happen so fast?! I really love this stage. I had so much fun watching Jake enjoy new foods and try new flavors and so far the same has rung true for Max. The expressions he makes are priceless and give me such pure joy! I also feel like I’m starting healthy habits and tastes now, right from the get go.
When it comes to deciding which foods exactly I want to give both my boys, I am pretty particular. I want to know what specifically is going into those little bodies to nourish them, which is why I was thrilled to discover that Beech-Nut is revealing the exact percentage of ingredients that are in its jars and pouches. You can see them for yourself right here on the Beech-Nut website. That’s huge! So huge that they are the first baby food company in the U.S. to do so!

Even if you make your own baby food, like I mostly did with Jake, there are times when it’s helpful to turn to packaged baby food. Now, no matter the circumstance, you really can feel confident about what your little one is consuming. Isn’t that the way it should be?! I feel good about supporting Beech-Nut and really appreciate their honest and transparent labeling.
You can learn more about Beech-Nut’s labeling practices in this article that was recently published by the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Also, make sure to check-out their website or follow them on Facebook for more information.

Awesome! I love a small list of ingredients that I can actually identify!
Wish I knew this when my little guy was a baby!
Great tips on reading baby food labels! So important to know what’s in your baby’s meals!
That’s awesome that they’re sharing the exact percentages! Knowledge is power for parents. It makes me much more confident when I know exactly what I’m feeding my children.
These are awesome. Wish they had them when son was little I would have bought them all.
So nice to see that babyfood is babyfood and not filled with extra things those bodies do not need.
The first time I saw beach nut on the shelves I was so taken back by their beautiful packaging! The labels really do help!
I love the bottles! I’ve done blw with my last couple of babies but used beech nut before that. Never these pretty bottles though!
I heart labels like this, that are understandable!
We don’t always have time to make our own baby food, so I am so glad there are options like this available!
Wow! Love the percentages and new info. I wish it had been like this when I had babies!
Those ingredients are listed so clearly.. It’s nice knowing exactly what ingredients are being used.
This is great information for parents. It’s always good to be clear on what ingredients are in their babies’ food.
My baby loves these! I put them in the reusable squeeze snack tubes for her and she sucks them down!
That’s such great info for parents. Knowing what’s in your baby’s food is so important.
This is great. All foods should be required to make labeling this simple to read and understand.
I love Beech-Nut. I like how their baby foods are natural.
Just got my box of honey crisp apples from Mom 2 summit! YUM! We love Beech Nut!
Thanks for sharing this! I make baby food for my little one but you are right there are times when you just have to turn to the packaged stuff. I always choose Beech-Nut. Now after reading your article I feel even better about my choice. 🙂
This is the coolest label! Why didn’t they start this when my kids were younger? What a great thing for parents.
