Happy Hour with Hornitos

After a long day of work, meeting up with a good friend to unwind, share a cocktail and swap stories (I STILL can’t believe they said that!) is just what’s needed. Sometimes, even a drink and chat over the phone between Kristin and I is all we have time for, so seeing each other in person is even better!
When I host a happy hour, I love to make it light hearted and fun. After all, it’s about winding down and not feeling too formal. Kristin and I had an epic work weekend ahead of us so I knew an in-person happy hour afterward would be essential. We set a fun quirky atmosphere with cute pink Cheers bottles with straws and plastic pink flamingos. It’s amazing how just a few accessories like these pink flamingos can make everyone feel festive and take the party outdoors! Just a little zing of the unpredictable.
And our drinks! I am head over heels for all the tasty options for tequila lately and this Hornitos® Plata is so smooth! While you know I love a good margarita, there are so many other ways to sip tequila. This cocktail is so easy and knock your socks off delicious. I mean, after a long day of meetings I just want to quickly mix and relax. Within mere minutes Kristin and I were cracking each other up on the back porch.
Spiked Blood Orange Soda
Ingredients:
Hornitos® Plata Tequila
Blood Orange European Soda
Ice
Directions: Just pour approximately 2 ounces of Hornitos® Plata tequila over ice. Add the Blood Orange European Soda (found at most grocery stores) to desired amount.
That’s it! It is that easy. Enjoy and have fun with your own happy hour!

I have never seen European Blood Orange soda and I don’t drink very much but Tequila was a favorite way way back when. Hornitos-never heard of it but will look for it if I happen to want a very different kind of cocktail!
