I’m learning to love florals. Typically they just aren’t something I gravitate to. But lately I’ve been loving florals and how they can really play with a more feminine vibe. So I took this summery dress that came in a Stitch Fix delivery over the summer and decided to share how to style a fall floral dress. And spoiler alert, it’s really easy and really cute!
Recreating this look is pretty easy. Sometimes it just takes a fresh perspective of looking into your closet and thinking through how to reinvent an item. This dress was great on those summery warm days on the water. And it worked wonders for baby showers too! But I think I love it styled for fall even more. It feels a little more unexpected.
First I added the thin navy cardigan. It’s just the right layer to work throughout October. Next I added my favorite Sam Edelman riding boots. This would work with brown heels as well for a dressier event, but for around town these boots are comfortable and feel just right. I’ve had them two years now and still just love them so much! They are linked below for any fellow boot lovers.
And of course a few extra minutes with my wand doesn’t hurt. It’s rare I have the extra time in the morning but when I do I make sure to really toss those curls around! Ha!
Don’t mess with me and my morning coffee. It’s serious business.
