Jenny Packham: Sparkles Galore
Sadly, this will be the last of our Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway recaps. I hope you all have enjoyed reading about our experiences as much as we enjoyed experiencing them! There is nothing quite like watching those gorgeous designs walk down the runway in person and one of the final shows that we attended was definitely one of my favorites. The start time made for quite an early morning, but boy am I glad that we dragged ourselves out of bed in order to get down to Lincoln Center with mere minutes to spare!
Now I’ve waxed poetic about my love for sparkle more than once around these parts, so it’s no surprise that my eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store the second I got a glimpse of the first look being walked down the runway! There was definitely no shortage of sparkle! Jenny Packham treated us to a glamorous mix of molten metallics, beading and crystals. The little girl in me nearly squealed by all the glittering details. I definitely saw more than one design that deserved a red carpet moment. I do believe we’ll see even more celebrities sporting Jenny Packham at their events this year! The darling starlet Emma Roberts was seated in the front row and we saw her grin more than once. I wonder which oh so fabulous piece her stylist will snag for her? Hmmmmmmmm.
That long sleeve number would be my choice. Then again, the nude and metallic beaded gown is pretty darn fabulous too. Now if only I had a red carpet event to attend. Bwah! Maybe I’ll just have to make my friends get dressed up to the nines for my birthday this year. I mean what girl doesn’t want a good excuse to sparkle? You know this girl always does!
