Colorblocking for Less
Colorblocking is no new concept. It’s been on trend for years and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. And this girl is happy about that. I still can’t get enough of colorblocking as it’s such an easy trend to rock. Simply find two or three colors that go well together and you’re all set. Blue and orange, for instance, has always been a favorite combo of mine. It could be my University of Florida roots (GO GATORS!), but whatever the reason, I find myself wearing blue and orange time and time again.
Now today’s featured look is a take on colorblocking as I’m not wearing all solids, but the stripes on my maxi skirt are a subtle enough of a print to give a colorblocking effect. I paired my maxi with a lace trim red-orange top (similar linked), metallic sandles and bangles (similar linked). Would you believe I got everything, save for the bangles, from Target? The entire outfit was under $75! It really is a one stop shop, but I digress…
This is the kind of look you’ll find me running around in during the summer. I’m comfy and cool in it, yet it looks more pulled together than shorts and flops. Not that I don’t rock that kind of ensemble too. You don’t have many options when it’s nearly 100 degrees. Haha!
So, how do you feel about colorblocking lovelies? Are you still loving this trend or is it not exactly your favorite? And before you go, make sure you head over to our Monday Mingle cronies, Momtrends and Thirty Something Fashion, to see what they’re wearing!
