Casual Easter Brunch

Easter Brunch

I’m going to get real with you today.  I mean real, real. And include a pic of me in the morning with little make-up and no photoshop filters.  Now that’s real!  A friend of mine recently said that she felt that Pinterest had added a layer of pressure when she entertained.  That if it wasn’t pretty and Pinteresty than it wasn’t a success.  I’m guilty of feeling the same way, are you?  I adore Pinterest and find it so useful and inspring, but truthfully sometimes friends just come over and I don’t have everything color coordinated and ready to go.  That’s how our Easter brunch was.  Just good friends and family hanging out, eating and spending time together. The menu really worked out so I’ve posted that below but other than that we just chilled while sipping mimosas.  Which was divine!

This is one of my favorite kids on the planet. He was very proud of his Easter Egg Hunt spoils!

And he’s great with Jake who is constantly looking up to him!

I threw all of the food, including this rather large ham, on the table and then we all just kind of ate where ever. Very casual.

Something healthy to balance out the candy intake.

How cute are these chick and egg cookies that my Mom made?! I love them!  And those are homemade peanut butter eggs.  So yummy!  Although in this photo makes them look like little rabbit pellets…I swear they are delicious!

Easter Brunch

Two of my favorites, M&M’s and mimosas!

As an Easter treat Jake got his first baseball bat and ball from his Aunt Ashley.  This kid has no idea how lucky he is to have such an awesome Aunt in his life!  I’m constantly amazed how physical Jake is.  At 16 months he is kicking the ball around the house like a little soccer pro, so picking up a bat seemed to come naturally.  Although he may have gotten a scare as I shrieked when I caught him pounding my laptop with it….ahhh……

Easter Brunch

So that was our Easter give or take an egg hunt or two. Did any of you do anything fun for Easter weekend? Anyone else kick back and enjoy family time and food!
