Easy Easter Desserts

Hey BonBon Rose Girls readers! It’s Jackie Fo here with a last minute Easter dessert idea that tastes delicious and requires absolutely no prep time. With the weather getting warmer, we want to spend time outside with our families in the backyard hunting for Easter eggs, not slaving away in the kitchen!

With store bought brownies, Rice Krispies Treats and a little creativity, these desserts make for a perfect addition to the kids table. I guarantee the adults will sneak a taste too! I know I would if they were at my Easter celebration!

Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispies Treats are an instant crowd pleaser and are super easy to make, but the pre-made option is great too if you’re really short on time! Using pastel colored gel frosting (I chose pink, purple and yellow), then simply draw squiggly lines and display on a cake stand with Easter grass. If you do make the Rice Krispies Treats yourself, use an egg shaped cookie cutter to cut out the treats into egg shapes. Either way, these treats are super simple!

For a more decadent treat that’s equally as festive, cut out store bought brownies or a chocolate sheet cake using the egg cookie cutter. You can then use the same gel frosting to decorate your brownies with squiggly lines and display the same way as you did the Rice Krispies treats. I’m a sucker for a lovely cake stand. Who’s with me? They make for such a pretty presentation!

Feel free to also decorate these egg treats with colored frosting or sprinkles. You can even make this a great kids table craft for Easter Sunday – decorate your own Easter Egg brownie or Rice Krispies Treat! The kids will absolutely love it and it will keep them occupied while the adults chat! The name of the game is keep them BUSY! Haha!
