If your kids are anything like mine, they don’t want wait until Halloween to play dress up. We’re all about make believe in our home and have a fully stocked trunk filled with dress up clothes and costumes that they can pull out whenever the mood strikes. As a mom who is focused on fostering her wee ones’ imaginations, I’m thrilled when they walk away from their gadgets and screen time for some good old dress up fashioned fun. They’ll carry the creativity that they cultivate from their everyday dress up time with them into adulthood! In fact, Costume Express has some cool creative play ideas over at their website…Check them out!
Thanks to Costume Express, we have some new costumes to add to our dress up collection. My kiddos, along with Megan’s, each chose a costume that struck their fancy, well Megan might have hand a hand in picking out baby Max’s Kermit the Frog, but I digress. As you can see, our kids’ choices represent a variety of interests…The lil’ lady bean is a princess fanatic, so Princess Sophia was a given. Her brother can’t get enough of Skylanders and Jake is driving trains in his dreams. To be a fly on the wall during that play time right? Princess Sophia being rescued from a Skylander by Jake’s train. Haha!
To pick up everyday dress up costumes for your own family, head over to Costume Express. They’re a breeze to order from and if the costumes don’t fit, they offer hassle free returns. Now if you don’t have a dress up collection already, I urge you to start one. We play with costumes in our homes, of course, but we’ve also carted them outside and enjoyed some imaginative play out there too! The possibilities are endless…
