Little Striped Dress

Kristin and I share many things as besties, including a love for wearing stripes. We just can’t get enough! So I was thrilled to discover Jane Hudson and style this little striped dress.

Here in Annapolis we are in the October fall zone. It is gorgeous but one day its sixty degrees and the next its eighty. This little striped dress is perfect to pair with a jacket that you can take off when the temps get warmer throughout the day. Also, have to add that I really love the fabric of this dress. Its a really high quality viscose-spandex blend so it feels like it helps keep everything in place and has a nice thickness to it. The fabric of a form fitting dress can really be the thing that makes it work and this is no exception. Love it!

Of course I just had to pair this little striped dress with my beloved moto jacket, since you know, I just can’t get enough of it these days. I also went with the brown leather riding boots to really style it for fall. In the spring I’m totally going to be wearing this dress non-stop with my converse.

I also picked up these gold Trina Turk double hoop earrings last weekend. I found them for a steal at Nordstrom Rack so into the basket they went! I’m having a moment with large gold hoops these days.

One of the things I’m digging about Jane Hudson is that in addition to casual everyday wear, the combinations are also perfect for game day wear. They come in several color combinations of favorite football teams so we don’t always have to look over-the-top and can root our teams on in fashion. They even have an orange and blue combination dress for our beloved Gators.

Knowing I went to a big state school in the south, a friend recently asked me if its a Southern thing to dress your children up in game day apparel on Saturdays. I instantly laughed and said no way. But you guys, I’ve recently realized I’ve done just that ever week since we talked. Apparently I did it without realizing that is truly is a thing. HA! So yes, this dress will be perfect on Saturdays for a coordinated family game day look. Get ready for that Instagram!
