Stitch Fix Cotton Pencil Skirt
It’s another fresh Moms Do Spring Style post where we’re teaming up with friends near and far to get our spring style on! Today’s spring inspiration is styling this faux snakeskin Stitch Fix cotton skirt.
With temperatures that are all over the place in the DC area, cool in the morning and night then warm in the afternoon, I’m trying my best not to put tights back on. I get this way every year around this time. I’m just ready to shed the tights and once I do there is no going back. Imagine me holding up those worn out tights singing Nah to the ah to the no, no, no…
That’s where the help of booties come in. I just love how they can help make a look work for that up and down weather. Also I think I need some self tanner immediately. Winter has me looking mighty pale! Eek!
This Stitch Fix cotton pencil skirt came in my last box and I was a little skeptical at first. You know how you see something and you just aren’t sure? Then I put it on and it was cute and comfortable. It’s so soft and uncomplicated and of course anytime you have a black and white pattern you know you can style it so many ways. I decided that I needed the extra layer of the moto sweater jacket (also seen here) so I layered it over my white tee.
I like how the different layers show and complement the faux snakeskin pattern of the skirt. It’s a fun easy look that I can also take into the office.
Of course I hope to also be wearing this lightweight skirt in warmer weather soon and look forward to showing you just how versatile a cotton pencil skirt can be! I’d love to pair it with a bright top and sandals in the coming months.
Are pencil skirts something you wear often? Anyone have a great one that they love? Do tell!

Love a cute (and comfortable) pencil skirt! I’m also all about layering because I think it adds a great texture to the overall look. Looking fab, lady!
Thanks! Love those layers! 🙂

Looking good! I love that skirt – white and black always looks so sophisticated and can really be dressed up or down!
You look cute, the skirt looks super versatile like you could wear the boots or heels or sneakers or even flip flops with it. I used to wear pencil skirts when I was skinnier – I’m a bit to chubby thee days! ☺
I love the awesome texture that this skirt has! It looks great on you with what you’ve paired it with.
This is super cute. I wonder if it would look good with a cute pair of sneakers? I love stitch fix!
Oh yes, I’ll have to try that! It’s so comfortable I’m all about making it work with as much as possible!
That skirt is great! It would be great for work or going out, so versatile! I love Stitch Fix, they are a really great program for trying new clothes!
This is so adorable! Love those booties, too. I have so many pairs of booties, but I definitely need a black pair. I haven’t checked out stitch fix, but so many of my friends have tried it, that I need to check it out.
Super cute skirt. It’s the perfect transition piece for this time of year and will look great when the temps do start to rise.
This skirt is so cute! I love Stich Fix, I got it a few times but the pieces were so expensive I stopped.
I actually lowered the price limit on my tops but do a bit more for dresses or jeans. Might be worth trying again with lower price points 🙂
Great outfit and colors! Those shoes are super cute and look comfy like you could walk around in them all day. You look confident and that’s all that matters.
This is such a cute skirt. I love your outfit, even your nails are so pretty! I’ve been looking for a jacket just like that. Perfect for New England weather!
This is a super cute skirt. I have registered on stitch fix but never tried them. This skirt is perfect for spring.
Oh I am loving the design on that skirt!!! It’s beautiful! And I love how you paired it with the jacket and shoes!
I really like the pattern on this skirt!! You styled this so well. Def looks like a skirt you can dress up, or down.
I love that skirt. Perfect for down south. I would pair it with a pop of color too.
Oh I love it! it looks great. i have heard such great things about Stitch Fix. I want to give it a try if its available here!
Great skirt! I love the look and totally need to go shopping for the spring. Hopefully, it will be getting warmer soon.
That is a beautiful skirt. I need one of these for Spring. I haven’t gotten a pencil skirt in my box yet.
This pencil skirt is super cute. It also looks comfortable while still being stylish!
Love that skirt and you look really classy in it. Thanks for sharing this post with us. Enjoyed reading.
Love that top! Looks like it would be so versatile and go with a ton!
This looks great on you but it just doesn’t look right on me. Mine just hangs in the closet.
Bummer, have you tried it with different silhouettes for the top? Sometimes that can make a big difference. I hate it when something doesn’t get worn.
