Boots that Work for Sight Seeing

Happy Monday lovelies! I’m back…barely. We got in after 1 AM last night and the dude was, of course, up bright and early this morning…so I have a feeling that an extra pot of java will be brewing in my kitchen today! In case you didn’t read about my plans last week, the hubs and I took a mini vacay to Syracuse, NY for a his friend’s wedding. I have to say…Syracuse was a DARLING town. The fall colors were absolutely popping and they made for a gorgeous backdrop as we strolled the historic downtown. I promise that pictures are a comin’…but until then, let me share a little story with you.
So, on Friday I decided to where my mama’s vintage rust colored suede knee high boots. They’re just gorgeous and I couldn’t believe the amount of people that stopped me in the airport about them. What can I say? My mama had style! That being said…they aren’t the easiest things to get on and off at airport security and after about eight hours in them my dogs were barkin’! I’m thinking that the next time I’m going to be walking around for hours and hours, I won’t rock a high heeled boot. Just sayin’. Unless, it’s a wedge boot perhaps…Hmmmmm.

I love boots, but I’m not sure how I feel about the wedges.
I always stick with flat boots when walking around a lot but wedges are the second best choice! I absolutely love the first pair from Saks and the Aldo Topaz boots are gorg. Glad you had fun up in ‘cuse! It is such a cute little place. That whole taking shoes off at the airport is such a pain isn’t it? I always have to re-think my shoe choices for traveling! Last time I wore pumps just because they are so easy to slip on and off.
Love wedges and how great for walking around in the cool autumn weather!
Sigh. Boots. Now if only the weather would cool down so I could actually wear mine…

I loooove those Topshop boots, but they’re likely a bit too much wedge for me! I’m looking for old-timey-looking, brown, lace-up boots that are also flat; the only pair I found were at Kohl’s & they’re completely sold out!

Well I will say that I can only wear the flat boots, or comfy wedges…I can’t do heels. 🙂
I would also highly recommend flat over the knee boots. I bought mine a couple of weeks ago and almost literally have not taken them off. I fully intend on traveling in them next week – I’ll let you know how it goes. So glad to hear you had a great weekend!
Those topshop wedges are so awesome…I’ve never ordered from there and am scared I’ll get a wrong size and get jacked!
