Fall Trend: Animal Prints
Happy Monday lovelies. I hope ya’ll had fabulous weekends! It rained like cats and dogs here in Tampa, so we were forced to stay inside for most of it. You can imagine how the dude felt about that. No outside play time makes for quite a cranky toddler. I’m looking forward to taking him out today she he can run off some steam. But seeing as he’s completely engrossed in his airplane DVD right now, I thought I would seize the moment to squeeze in a quick post. If you’ve been reading the glossies, you know that animal prints are going to be all over the place this Fall. Who has two thumbs and loves her some animal prints? THIS GIRL! RAWR! I plan on busting out my ruby pout and/or mani/pedi and taking full advantage of this “trend.”
How do you guys feel about animal prints? Although, you might not be down for a leopard frock, I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t look fabulous in leopard pumps! How about an animal print bag or earrings like my Wendy Brandes zebra stud beauties that I debuted in a recent Champagne Saturday post?
However you interpret this trend, I just know you’re gonna look fierce!

I can’t get into animal prints. I can’t.
I LOVE an animal print. Seriously LOVE. Now that I am entering cougar-aged territory, not sure I can pull it off like I used to (that prob. will not discourage me from trying though),
I must have that bag. And, how cute is the lining in that dress?! I feel a shopping spree coming on.
@JAS, Hey, I’m cougar-aged and it’s not stopping me!
@JAS, I can make you the same dress if you’d like!
🙂 Stacy
Love the animal print post. Must go check out those bangles. Could that fabulous model be the beautiful Miss Kristin? 😉
LOVE that amazing dress!!! xo
I LOVE animal prints, especially leopard, cheetah, and tiger. A little dash here and there…a single piece of it…adds an instant shot of glamour to any outfit. And animal print accessories are the easiest way to update a wardrobe with a very small budget.
Love the DVF dress above!

I like the SHOES! I was never a big fan of animal print BUT it has started to grow on me…
the animal print marc jacobs tote is adorable…
I love animal print. I have a really cool pair of leopard print pumps.
That DVF dress?! Love.
I love this round-up of animal prints!! I didn’t used to be a fan of it, but I’m slowly growing to like it more and more! Those pumps must be mine!! 🙂
Do animal prints ever go out of style? Seems like it doesn’t! Great looks!
Animal prints are such fun!
I love love love the animal prints. I “blame/owe” this devotion to my mother who from an early age assured me it was chic and fierce. I have ONE animal print maternity dress…but plenty of shoes. 🙂
I love subtle animal print. Those bracelets look like the perfect accessory!
Love it! Especially the necklace and the swimsuit. I think I need the necklace!
My hubs lets me have total decision making in decorating the house, except for 1 thing, he has put a standing “veto” on anything animal print for home decor. My wardrobe is fine, but not pillows, rugs, mugs, etc. He can’t stand animal print home decor, LOL.
I think animal prints are fun. Not sure about wearing an animal print dress, but I like the look of pairing shoes or a bag with some solid colors.
Hmmm…the animal print is a stretch for me…but I can take it in bits like the scarf!
love me some animal prints! always have, probably always will!
I LOVE the bangles!!
I am a fan of animal prints, I think in decorating and in fashion little pops of animal prints look super chic!!!
The Marc tote and the shoes are sooo lovely!! I need to start saving up for the tote, I am in love with it!!!
Hi, found you through SITS and saw your name was Kristin so thought I better come over and say hi.
I am not an animal print lover, I’m much more a classic kinda girl. But I could be talked into those pumps and the gray dress with print lining is right up my alley! I am guessing the model is you?
@Kristin @ Peace, Love and Muesli, So flattered you like my piece – I’m a little more classic too, so I hid my leopard in the lining. The model is my good friend and jewelry genius Wendy Brandes.
Have a great day!
Stacy
animal print is ALWAYS in. at least in my book 🙂
Love the zebra scarf!
♥
Fun pieces, makes me want to go to the zoo!
I’m not such a huge animal print fan only because I think if it’s overdone it can look trashy. However, when understated (like these looks) it can look pretty fabulous too.
Heck yes! Leopard will forever be one of my favorite prints.
Leopard print is by far my favorite compared to zebra and cheetah.
Those shoes are MAHVELOUS! I love wearing an all black outfit and accessorizing with leopard details.
that stack of bangles makes my heart go pitter patter! very safari chic.
I don’t do animal prints…at all! But I do think it looks good on some 🙂
Leopard + red lips = you’re turning into ME! Yay!
I swear, WWD should look back on my leopard Patrick Kelly dress that they mocked and weep for their lack of foresight.
@WendyB, Word! Totally rocked my red pout today!
Happy Monday to you to!!
I have always worried that animal prints are to bold for me. They are so much fun though. I have a black dress with a thin cheetah print belt and that is as bold as I have gone so far. I think it is time for me to step it up!!
Marc Jacobs never seizes to amaze me 🙂
I do love me some animal prints! My next print will definitely be zebra, I love black & white.
Loving the hint of animal print on the DV dress!
Happy Monday to you.
I really love animal prints on accessories. Shoes, handbag, hair-piece, earrings! I have a pair of leopard Tory Burch flats that I absolutely live in during the fall!
The animal print trend is just not for me – but I do love the looks you posted. I just don’t think I can get away with it:( I need to unleash my inner animal, I suppose!
LOVE animal print! I have some cute animal print shoes & jewelry. I really love those bangles!!
WOW! I’m between Marc J and DVF? You are so sweet… thanks for the mention. And what a great study you put together on all of these fabulous animal prints. Love love love!
xoxo
I’m not a big fan of animal print, but I like it on shoes, sometimes.
Oh, I so need that bathing suit. With the bracelets. And the heels.
All at once. 🙂
I love animal prints and they can be done in a very classic way. Leopard pumps will never go out of style.
Give me an animal print anything and call me Crocodile Dundee. I am on board.
The right print on the right item is really fun and trendy. These are great choices you have!
Hope you had a great weekend Kristin!
Love the handbag!! I think animal prints are great in moderation. I have a great little giraffe-print cardigan from J Crew (last year), that I love.
Love the leopard chain link necklace, and my guess is that the model is Wendy Brandes. Wearing a dress with a leopard print lining seems like something she would do. 🙂
@lisa, you are correct! good job, that is wendy wearing my dolce vita dress!
stacy 🙂
i think animal prints are good but in really small doses…it’s hard to make them look classy!!
and your little dude sounds like my husband – he goes stir crazy when he cant’ go mountain bike…oh my. and it did rain all day saturday 🙂
Love animal prints!
LOVE animal print! Great posts – lots of eye candy here.
I love animal print. I don’t wear it nearly enough. I love the Marc Jacobs tote.
love that bag! Would be perfect for my fall wardrobe.
I love animal prints! I adore the scarf Nicole is wearing, the Aqua dress, and that Marc by Marc Jacobs tote especially. They’re each just the perfect amount of animal print!
LOVE animal prints!!!!!!
I love the pieces you posted because, while I don’t buy animal prints often (if at all), I can see myself with those shoes or that necklace!
My dorm room freshman year was entirely leopard print. I could get in on this.
I leolove this printed post… See, it even got me stumbling on words lol I’m not always a fun of too much of animal print, but I love all of your picks – each looks classy and subtle instead of full on screaming “look at me, I’m an animal rawwrrr” lol
I’m actually still on the fence on this one. Some are good, and some are, well, not so good. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I’m in love with the Marc Jacobs tote! I don’t usually do animal prints myself, but I think they can look so darling and chic – especially accessories!
Lovely post (:
Animal prints are amazing and I just did a spread about them on my site – I think that the trick to making it work is to wear that 1 special piece of animal print and build the outfit around it. Be it the scarf or the shoe – everything in moderation, right? 🙂
I’m guessing the model is Wendy Brandes….I can spot that backside anywhere! Hahahaha
I’m not an animal-print-coating-my-body (okay, pun intended) kind of girl, but I LOVE the little accents and accessories. It adds a wild element to even the most refined look
I love animal print! I don’t think a little animal print ever goes out of style!
I LOVE the animal print trend for fall! So fun and fresh!
Had such a fantastic beach weekend. Now another week with seeing great posts. Loving the zipper dress, wow! That is hot!
@kristin, thanks! love to hear that people like my work 🙂
stacy
I am loving those shoes and those bangles! On my must needs list. I cannot place the model but I love that photo.
I love animal prints as pops. For example, headbands, scarves, and shoes. It’s add a little edge to the look, at least in my opinion =)
Ahh… it’s been so long since I’ve pulled out the daring animal prints! Will have to put on my to-do list. Those shoes are saucy! xoxo
I love those cheetah shoes. I have been looking for something like those!!
I love prints on accessories but find the full outfits are usually too much for me
I love animal print!!!! It’s my all time favorite. I decorated my room like that when I was in high school, now our nursery is a safari theme. My favorite are the bracelets!!!
I’ve always LOVED animal prints. Wore one of my animal print scarves today and now I’m wearing my animal print nightgown & underwear too. not to get too personal but you get where I’m comin from… 🙂
I love how animal prints never really go OUT of style, yet they always come back in. Gotta love nature’s plaid!
That zipper dress is great.
I love a hint of animal, like this: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/slideshow/2011RST-MARCHESA?event=show2082&designer=design_house982&trend=&iphoto=13
They look so good on some people but I just cannot wear them at all!
I LOVE the animal print inspiration, some really gorgeous items you have shared with us!!
xoxo
Rachel
Ooh, I love animal prints. Guess it’s time to break out my leopard print pumps again soon!
Looove animal prints!! Those pumps rock!
i love animal print in moderation. shoes and accessories are my favorite!
Hey Kristin! I love anything animal print. I just think it’s sexy and fun! 🙂 And cute Coach scarf – I have one with little C’s in teal 🙂 xo, mel
Love this post – I’m so insecure about all-over leopard print, but I love little touches of it, like with a fab Marc Jacobs handbag!
Great post, girl! 🙂
P.S. LOVE your earrings – I have the same scarf as you (but I think you wear it a LOT better than moi).
I’m not usually a big animal print wearer but I adoreee that DVF dress! Gorgeous!
Love the first 2 dresses! I swear animals prints always find their way into every season!
Ella Numera Dos is so into animal prints. Think she would covet those pumps, correctamundo?
I like some animal prints but I am not a fan of them on dresses. I like them on small things like bags & shoes & your earrings 🙂
I love animal print! I have way too many cheetah, leopard, and zebra scarves, but I must get my hands on those pumps! Thanks for the fashion forward pics!
I can honestly say I love everything flipping piece you posted! Love it all and so so happy that its “in” still!!!!
great post
~Tana
I LOVE that Aqua dress! Absolutely adorable — I love animal prints in small doses, or else they make me feel a bit overwhelmed.

YESSSSS I love animal prints, those PLV pumps are rad!

I LOVE animal prints! can’t wait to wear my faux fur leopard print jacket this winter!
my most beloved pair of flats are zebra print 🙂
I love animal prints!
I like animal print but I think it can be difficult to get right and there are many looks that are just too much. I have a pair of animal print flats which I love and I think that maybe jewellery, a bag or some detailing on clothes can look stylish but I think that a full leopard print dress is too much.
Animal prints are GGGGGGGGGreat! Such a classic staple! I love all of the above!
I AM IN LOVE WITH THE SWIMSUIT!!
Wow, I just love everything in that post that was leopard…! 😀
XOXO
ROAR! I am right there with you in the jungle. I actually have quite a few animal print pieces in my closet- hummm… wonder why I have them before they were actually in? Oh well, either way I got some and can’t wait to wear them! Lovely, awesome and always fashionable post my beautiful friend. It has been raining here non-stop to (we got what ya’ll got) so little man is about to go insane! Love ya
Jessica
I have 3 different type pieces with animal prints on them. So excited about the trend!
super cute necklace from chico’s. they’ve totally surprised me recently
CLassic. Animal prints are here to stay! I’m convinced 🙂
I love love love animal print. I wear them, decorate with them, they are so classic and chic. Everything you listed for us to see is just stunning. I love the bathing suit and the dress.
xoxo
So I LOVE the animal print safari necklace – I think it’s the perfect way to incorporate the animal print.
so glad this is a trend that sticks around! Love it!
ha! that was funny. of course the lovely model is you!!!
and she is.
My daughter has those earrings.
I love the tote, but I love animal print. I think its very classic and something you can invest in and have for years. I have featured it many times. I have an all leopard print ensemble and I am not afraid to wear it. LOL
Thanks for mentioning me.
yes to animal prints! but no to donning from head to toe.
love the bracelets! I am going to check them out now. Might just need a tuesday morning present for myself.
I absolutely love animal print! Thanks for showing us some great picks!
I’m pretty picky about animal prints. A general, broad-sweeping answer would be NO, but I have a leopard print fitted pullover I adore, and I’m liking some of the animal print large handbags I’ve seen. I also think the leopard-ish pumps you flashed would love to live with me…
Whenever I see a woman wearing animal prints I see a woman saying I’m sexy and I know it!!! haha
it’s such a creative post! animal print dress is my favorite!!!
Dying over the DV dress!
Even though I wrote a post myself on zebra prints, I’m still a bit on the fence about this one as it’s a trend that can so easily go terribly, terribly wrong! I like the subtle peek of animal print on that dress – it’s a subtle and subversive way to incorporate animal prints safely.
oh wow, these are awesome animal print picks, kristin! i love them all! hope u get some sunshine ur way soon:)
TheOwlsCloset.blogspot.com
I’m not a fan of animal prints at all. Too 80’s and sometimes trashy. I like the bag a little bit, though.
I think leopard prints can look totally adorable if done correctly. Personally I love printed ballet flats and scarves… and I’m feeling an sudden fondness for that Marc Jacobs tote you picture here!! 🙂
That’s very female gear!
Awesome fall trend!
Big hugs!
B xx
