Halloween Candy Rice Krispie Treats
When I saw a recipe for krispie treats using candy, I thought why not use Halloween candy? We certainly have that in spades around our house right now. Haha! In fact, these Halloween Candy krispie treats would be a great use of any left over Halloween candy that you have on hand and it’s a recipe that’s easy enough to involve children. My kiddo loves getting in the kitchen with me as he’s all about “helping” right now. I’m sure I’m not the only mama dealing with a little Mr. Independent at home right now. Haha! And since he has little access to sweets on the day to day, he was beyond thrilled to be a part of the process when we tackled this recipe. I mean one of the main ingredients is CANDY. Come on!
Halloween Candy Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 bag mini marshmallows
6 cups krispie cereal
1 cup chocolate candies
1 cup candy corn
Directions:
I first melted 2 Tbsp. of butter and a bag of mini-marshmallows before letting him get in on the action. We then added 6 cups of our favorite krispie cereal.
Next came the candy. We used about a cup each of candy corn and M&M’s.
My happy taste tester helped me stir things up!
And finally, we used pumpkin and ghost cookie cutters to make the treats even more festive looking!
Voila! There you have it. Our latest attempt in le kitchen was a success. Our Halloween krispie treats turned out so delicious and they were SO easy to whip up! And, by the way, I plan on raiding Jake’s trick-or-treating stash to see what other variations we might come up with post-Halloween! Just sayin’. I’ll report back with any note worthy combos! Happy Halloween!
