Girls Vacation with Royal Caribbean, Part 2
As you know, Kristin and I were thrilled to take a girls vacation with Royal Caribbean on the Vision of the Seas a few weeks ago. There were so many photos to sort through that here we are after Labor Day showing you the second half of our trip (check out Part 1 here)!
Our cruise took us from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West, and now the final stop on our journey, Grand Cayman. How gorgeous is this view as we approached?! Crazy beautiful! Since I was traveling 5 months pregnant, I was unable to do some of the great adventures Grand Cayman has to offer. I’m normally the first one to hop a jet ski and go snorkeling! Rather, Kristin was a great sport and we explored the town for lunch and then hit up a beach club to relax and soak in the pretty sand and aqua water. I can’t get enough of that water!
Back on board we had a final day at sea in which we fully took advantage of all our ship had to offer! The delicious desserts left me one happy mama and I definitely got a little increase in baby bump size by the time I left. Yum! Of course, there were several other activities to enjoy besides eating! There was a rock climbing wall, fun games, shopping, shows and more. And just relaxing with a book and no toddlers to run around after was pretty sweet too.
One of my favorite activities was taking a bridge tour and seeing just how impressive our captain and crew were at managing all those controls and navigating such a large ship. It was definitely eye opening and the view from the bridge was amazing!
Isn’t our captain great?! She is one of the few female cruise captains worldwide and it was such a neat honor to get to meet her and hear all about her accomplishments. And yes, she let me wear her hat! Kristin made sure that happened. Haha!
Now that we are back to reality and work, kids, life, etc., we can honestly say that taking this cruise together was just the break and reconnecting time we needed. No cell phones or school schedules required. Ahhhhh, we can’t wait to go back!
Disclosure: We were not compensated for this post, but were provided with passage on the cruise.

You’re making me reminisce about the cruise I took about 11 years ago with my girlfriends. I need to go back!

WOW! That looks like an amazing trip! 🙂
I love going on cruises! I’ve only gone with Carnival though. I’ve never done a bridge tour though, and that looks really interesting and fun! Cruises are the best vacations.
Royal Caribbean really is fab! 🙂
What a great trip! I need to plan another cruise in the near future. This post made me miss the water.
I need some shuffleboard in my life. What great pics and looks like an awesome time!
