If you’ve read our blog for a while, it probably comes as no surprise to you that I was over the moon happy when I found out that a baby girl would be joining our family. Just like when I just knew I was having a boy when I was pregnant with the dude, I had a very strong feeling that the lil’ lady bean was a girl before I actually found out what we were having. I may have even picked up a girly little outfit or two before her gender was confirmed. Haha!
I’m a girly girl at heart. There is no denying that. I love pink…I love sparkle…And I REALLY love tutus. So, when it was official that our baby was girl and I could really throw caution to the wind and start shopping for my lil’ lady bean, I was elated.
You may remember that her nursery is lavender and grey. As much as I love pink, I wanted to go a slightly less traditional route with her nursery and I just love how it turned out. But that doesn’t mean I walked away from pink completely. Come pay us a visit and you’ll find that the lil’ lady bean’s wardrobe, gear and toys are quite liberally peppered with pink. What can I say? This girly girl had an even girlier girl. Who knew that was possible?
My baby girl may be less baby and more toddler now, but I still love pouring over baby girl goodies, so I created an eBay collection dedicated to baby girls. It’s dominated by pink obviously. Great post. I too felt like I was born to have a baby girl and I admire and adore her tender heart, sassy spirit, and, “I got this” attitude…even at 2! I too, have a little dude and I’m so glad to experience the mother son bond – how amazing…he’s my little sweetie pie. Aren’t we so fortunate to have these amazing children in our lives?

Could not be a sweeter of lil lady bean! LOVE her little crown!! Sometimes my uterus yearns for a girl..and then sometimes I am just so glad I am without as we would be broke with all the pretty frilly adorable things I would buy for her. I still find a way to dip into the wallet for the boys..but a girl…its like all bets would be off.
