#EndMommyWars and Share Your Story

We hope in reading this you will be inspired to head over to the Similac Facebook Page and share your mommy wars story and how it was resolved. Let’s #EndMommyWars!

#EndMommyWarsIf you are a mom then you’ve, sadly, probably been there. That moment of judgement for doing what you think is the right thing for you and your little one. That look from a friend, co-worker or family member that lets you know that they think your parenting style is wrong. It’s an awful feeling and can instantly make you crumble and question yourself as a parent. Am I doing the right thing for my kids? Since I’ve been on the receiving end, I try not to do it in return. Sure, sometimes there is an inner dialogue that runs through my head, but keeping it in check and to myself so I can, rather, provide support is the name of the game. All of us parents are in this together trying to make it work and raise awesome little humans. No judgement needed. Let’s #EndMommyWars together!

Here’s a little video in which I’m sharing one of the most common feelings of judgement I’ve received. It has kept me up at night and had me talking to the pediatrician. At the end of the day though it’s all about what is working for us as a little family team and knowing that as time goes on and kids age, things will shift. What works today might not tomorrow and that’s ok too!

So, have a watch and hopefully a chuckle. Then join us and share your mommy war story and resolution on the Similac Facebook page using #EndMommyWars! For more on the campaign visit Similac.

I would just like to say that it is pretty hard not to get a look in my eyes when I see a relative or a friend doing something I know is going to backfire (whether a doctor told them to do it or not!). Not saying anything is easy–it is the look that I can’t stop. But then everyone has to make their own mistakes and mini humans are pretty resilient!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I wish I could share this video with someone, whom I just got into a huge fight with about dinnertime. For us dinnertime is such a stress. And all I hear about from other Mom’s is that the best families have sit down dinners every single night. Blah blah blah!

@Andi, You are SO not alone and no judgement here! Dinner time for me is 100% STRESS when I put pressure on myself to make it perfect. There is already so much pressure in the evenings between, dinner, homework, bath time the phone ringing and on and on. Do what works best for your family! Sure it’s important to have dedicated time to focus and talk with one another but it may be a long walk or bedtime stories or some other time that’s just right.

I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful community of moms to support me. We don’t all parent the same but that’s what makes life fun. We can dialogue and do what feels right for us. The Mommy Wars are just craziness!

Sometimes I just smh at women and what we collectively do to each other. There’s no one personality, so we’re bound to all do things differently. That’s ok!
