Pale is the New Black: Wearing Soft Tones this Fall

Tomorrow is the last day to enter our Charm Design zipper pouch giveaway!

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. I’m sure it ended all too fast as mine did. I know I sound like a broken record, but it just seems like Monday comes in the blink of an eye without fail doesn’t it? Happily, I am well rested, thanks to my darling hubs who got up with the dude Saturday AND Sunday, so Monday being right up in my face isn’t bumming me out as much as it typically does. Plus, I’m still on a high from having a mommy’s night out wherein I returned to find a completely clean house courtesy of the hubs. Back off ladies. He’s taken. HA!

Ok, so as for my night on the town, I attended the Fashion Week Tampa Bay Boutique & Runway Shows Event and I must say that it was a lovely evening. A couple of designers really jumped out at me andΒ  I can’t wait to share my thoughts on them with you later on this week!

One such designer, Essence Flowers, sent some gorgeous pieces down the runway in some soft pale pink hues that completely inspired me. Even though it was a spring/summer collection, I see no reason not to use colors that inspire me now!Β  Blush is relevant now as well. So, as much as I’m loving jewel tones for fall/winter, I think it would be fun to mix things up a bit and throw in some blush tones here and there. Seeing as I can’t exactly purchase everything on this wish list, which piece do you think I should go for and will you be rockin’ this look yourself?

  1. Aren’t you a lucky girl to have your house cleaned for you! Wait till your little man is a bit older & then you can order him around to clean for you too πŸ˜‰

    That Modcloth dress is lovely!

  2. I’m glad you had a nice weekend and that’s really sweet that your husband cleaned up the house and let you sleep in all weekend!

Blush is such a beautiful color and definitely something different for fall. I am loving the strawberry cheesecake necklace and still want a Love Quotes scarf in the worst way. The draped jersey cardigan from Splendid is also really nice.

  3. Do you know how badly I want to slip into that Chiffon Blouse, the Marion Dress, and that peach scarf?!!

You have started off my week with a shopping frenzy crush!!

  4. Sounds like you had fun at the Tampa Fashion Week event! Love the soft colors and my favs are that Elizabeth & James belt and MK corset belt! Fab picks.

Ugh, I always have the case of the Mondays and I got a decent amt. of sleep!

    xx, becs

  5. I love blush hues and have no intention of dropping them now that fall is here! I love love love all your pics but I think you would get the most wear and versatility out of the scarf and the draped jersey cardigan. They are both gorgeous!

  6. Love those flower teardrop earrings!
So glad that you had a fun weekend…what a blessing to have such a thoughtful man! Yay for wonderful husbands! πŸ™‚
    Enjoy your week, Kristin!

  7. Oh, it’s all so pretty!! I especially love the necklace and earrings, and the Splendid cardigan (I have it in green/white stripe and it’s SO soft!). I think this color would look great with grey and brown for the fall!

  8. That anthrolopolgie necklace just took my breath away! which is suprising becaus hard as I try, i just don’t love pale colors. The most I can do is a neutral pump, but I have yet to find the perfect pair. but that necklace could come home with me today

  9. I’m really loving the soft colors for this fall. So pretty! Plus, I’m pretty convinced I need that Anthropologie necklace and the Elizabeth and James blouse!

  10. Your weekend sounds great. This post is so inspiring. I don’t have anything in this blush color, but I’m definitely going to try to find a blouse or sweater in it. It’s so soft and feminine looking.

  11. So pretty! I love the look of neutral tones combined in a single outfit lately and these pale peachy shades would pair beautifully with camel, gray, black, white, and denim blue.

  12. Wow these are some great choices and with the extended warm weather all over the place I’m wishing I had one of those tops to replace my black sweater!

  13. Omg, I don’t even know how to narrow down what I like, because I’m seriously adoring everything you picked. That Anthropologie necklace is absolutely to die for – seriously, I kept flipping back to it over and over. And Topshop – seriously, can they do any wrong, ever? It figures that I like all the Prada and everything from Net-a-Porter… haha. Though I am adoring that Forever 21 tutu – I totally want to try to pull off a tutu a la Carrie Bradshaw.
I’m obsessed with this post πŸ™‚ So jeal you got to go to fashion week!

  14. Same here, everything you picked is so gorgeous! If I HAD to narrow it down, then I would say go for one of those blush sweaters as they’re a great investment for winter and they all look so cozy.

  15. I’ve been loving this shade for fall, too (I love the ballerina-esque feel it has); it really looks great paired with navy. Also, that Splendid cardigan is too perfect!

  16. You captured two of my favorite stores in one post…BR and Anthropologie. *Sigh* I could spend my entire home remodeling budget on beautiful things from both those places. Pale pink is a great color.
