Pale is the New Black: Wearing Soft Tones this Fall

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope everyone had a beautiful weekend. I’m sure it ended all too fast as mine did. I know I sound like a broken record, but it just seems like Monday comes in the blink of an eye without fail doesn’t it? Happily, I am well rested, thanks to my darling hubs who got up with the dude Saturday AND Sunday, so Monday being right up in my face isn’t bumming me out as much as it typically does. Plus, I’m still on a high from having a mommy’s night out wherein I returned to find a completely clean house courtesy of the hubs. Back off ladies. He’s taken. HA!
Ok, so as for my night on the town, I attended the Fashion Week Tampa Bay Boutique & Runway Shows Event and I must say that it was a lovely evening. A couple of designers really jumped out at me and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on them with you later on this week!
One such designer, Essence Flowers, sent some gorgeous pieces down the runway in some soft pale pink hues that completely inspired me. Even though it was a spring/summer collection, I see no reason not to use colors that inspire me now! Blush is relevant now as well. So, as much as I’m loving jewel tones for fall/winter, I think it would be fun to mix things up a bit and throw in some blush tones here and there. Seeing as I can’t exactly purchase everything on this wish list, which piece do you think I should go for and will you be rockin’ this look yourself?

oh i TOTALLY agree. i’m in love with these pastels/nude colors that are taking speed. of course black will always be a classic. but these colors are so clean and sophisticated 🙂

Blush is such a beautiful color and definitely something different for fall. I am loving the strawberry cheesecake necklace and still want a Love Quotes scarf in the worst way. The draped jersey cardigan from Splendid is also really nice.

I personally have a hard time with blush tones because I am pale, but I think I can try them in little doses.

The Elizabeth and James Tokyo blouse has been on my want-list for a long time!
I love blush hues and have no intention of dropping them now that fall is here! I love love love all your pics but I think you would get the most wear and versatility out of the scarf and the draped jersey cardigan. They are both gorgeous!

Oh, it’s all so pretty!! I especially love the necklace and earrings, and the Splendid cardigan (I have it in green/white stripe and it’s SO soft!). I think this color would look great with grey and brown for the fall!
