Wedding Inspired Winter White
Happy Thursday lovelies! I’ve always been a big fan of Thursdays. It’s so close to the weekend that I usually feel like I just float through the day, unlike the way I drag my arse around on my nemesis Tuesday. Don’t ask me why, but I loathe Tuesday. Happily it is not Tuesday and you find me in awfully cheery spirits. The dude slept through the night, so that might have something to do with it too. HA! Anyhoo, you may have noticed that I’m posting on a day that is typically Megan’s and that is because she celebrated her third wedding anniversary last night. Hopefully she’s sleeping in after sharing a lovely evening with her hubs!
Since weddings were on my mind yesterday, I asked Meg for a photo from her destination Jamaican affair as I don’t think ya’ll have seen nearly enough of it. I truly can’t express how beautiful it was. She looked beyond gorgeous and the location was truly breathtaking! You’ll notice in the pic above that Meg’s dress is a winter white hue. You might think that an island venue would call for a more pristine white, but the off white hue of her dress was perfection and looked amazing against her wedding’s hot pink color palette! The gown had some incredibly intricate beading that just didn’t glimmer as much in the true white version of the dress. Winter white was definitely a winner on Meg’s special day!
Winter white has always been a favorite color of mine. It’s a blank canvas to pair colors with and it’s an unexpected, yet killer party or cocktail dress choice! I would love to throw on a pair of jewel toned heels with any one of the pretties below and dance the night away at the next dress up affair that I get invited to!

Aw what a pretty picture! And what pretty dresses! I especially love the first one 🙂
loving the one shoulder!!!
Love all your choices 🙂
I love Modcloth. Once again, these choices didn’t disappoint.
When I was looking for a wedding dress (I got married in the courthouse) I thought for sure I could find a winter white sweater dress. No luck. We looked everywhere and couldn’t find something that looked special but casual enough to walk the metal detector at the court house. I was just 8 years ahead of the trend on this one. Now there’s winter white everywhere!
What a cute photo! 😉 I also like the second dress!
I love thursdays too! I LOVE the dresses even more, I seriously like each one! 😀
Holy crap – that DVF is absolutely gor-geous. Le sigh, why am I unemployed with a love of designers?
Such a fun photo of Megan — and I’m a fan of Thursdays as well! The weekend is so tantalizingly close. Love your white dress picks!

Love love love winter white – am on the hunt for a perfect white dress to pair with black opaque tights and ankle boots. The DVF dress is near perfection, but waaay out of my price range!
