Feeling the Floral Decor
As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers, and boy am I feeling floral! For years I’ve resisted flowery patterns mostly due to my hubby who prefers things not to be quite so uber feminine. Over the years however, I’ve been inserting more of my girl power into decorating and he’s been more open to it as well. Maybe it’s all the home cooking I use as bribes. I make sure the smell of freshly baked cookies fills the air when showing him fabric swatches, ha! Mostly it’s been on items like a throw pillow or tablecloth. But lately I’m itching to get flower happy on a reading chair or loveseat.
What do you think? Are floral patterns best on accessories or do you like rocking them on larger furniture too?

There is no wrong way to use this season’s floral patterns. Used on a big piece, they can be a bold and beautiful statement. Using them in an accessory can be a great compromise to bringing the feminine together with a more masculine look.
I think so long as we don’t move into 1980s Laura Ashley country territory…we’re OK.
I don’t often go for florals, but I absolutely love the chair!
I say bring on the girl power! I’ve been in love with a floral settee from Horchow for a while and when we get into a larger place I’m definitely getting it!
