We love giving the gift of reading during the holidays. I mean what could be more special than giving a young reader the chance to explore a new world, build confidence or open their mind to new possibilities? So we’ve rounded up a list of great kids books to gift for young readers. From toddlers through elementary school there is something that can appeal to every reader. I can’t wait to give a few of these to special kids in my life this year.
Great Kids Books to Gift
I have so many great memories of finding a quiet nook and reading my heart out. I used to go to the library and check out so many I could barely carry them. And yet somehow I read them all! So the idea of gifting that same experience to another young person brings so much joy. Even now I love that last 20 minutes of the evening with my kids when we snuggle in and read together. It’s a great way to start conversation with my 7-year-old and for Max it’s just silly and fun time cuddling together. So it was neat to pull together a list of books that we either know and love or have been recommended by friends as “must reads” for their children. Sure, all the fun gadgets and video games on Christmas morning are awesome too. But the gift of a great book is one that creates lasting memories.
Which of these are you thinking of as great kids book to gift this year? Or what do you think we are missing on this list of enticing reads? I know other book series that my son is into are the Judy Moody series, My Weird School and Captain Underpants. The giggles from each of these are so contagious! Happy reading this holiday season!
