Is there a mama in your life whom you need to buy a gift for? Read on to see how to give a new mom exactly what she wants!

My sister is currently expecting her second child. It’s been a long time coming, so the whole family is beyond thrilled to celebrate his or her impending arrival. That’s right. My lil’ sis and her husband are team green and going the surprise route. That makes shopping for my soon to be niece or nephew a bit more of a challenge, but I’m up for it! Very soon I will be an Auntie for the second time and I really don’t care if a girl or boy is joining the family. I’m just ready for baby snuggles. I hope my hubs is prepared for the baby fever that is headed his way! Bwah!

New Mom Gift Ideas

And since we’re all so pumped about the new arrival coming this fall, I thought it would be fun to share some gift ideas for new moms with you. They aren’t just any old gift ideas. Let’s talk about how to give a mom exactly what she wants. There’s a really simple answer for that. Give her a Happy Cards® gift card! Everybody loves a gift card! The recipient can get just what she wants. Don’t all new moms deserve that? While getting new goodies for baby is always fun, Mom should be celebrated too! Enter my thoughts on how to give a new mom exactly what she wants…

That’s why I love to pair gift cards like Happy Cards with some personal details. In this case, I put together a little package to go with the baby gear my Mom and I are giving my sister at her baby shower. It’s a rather large piece of gear, but I didn’t just want to slap a bow on that box. Haha! I wanted to give her a gift that’s a little more customized to go along with it. And that’s where Happy Cards saved the day. She can get something for herself whenever she wants. Someday my favorite new mom may be in need of a pick me up and her Happy Cards gift card will give her just that.

She will have plenty of options to choose from since these gift cards can be used at restaurants, retailers AND entertainment venues! Yep, she’ll have the top gifting categories all on one brand NEW type of gift card. It’s the perfect gift of choice! And the giver, otherwise known as me, doesn’t have to worry about restrictions like activation fees to purchase or use Happy Cards. Plus, the giftee will have the freedom to eat, shop and play at any of the brands featured on their card. Who wouldn’t love that?

How to Personalize a Baby Gift

Now when I give a gift card as a gift, one of the ways I like to personalize it is to get creative with the packaging. Instead of just slipping the gift card in a greeting card, I dress things up a bit. For my sister, for instance, I picked up a wooden crate and a fun printed runner that she can use later. Because that’s so much more interesting than a bag and tissue paper that ends up in the trash! Plus, my Happy Cards gift card, onesie and toy look super special all wrapped up in an unexpected container like a crate. Am I right?!
