Inn on the Beach Vacation

Growing up in Tampa, Florida, St. Petersburg was always such a nice place to visit. I, of course, loved crossing the bridge to see the “big pink castle” and the pretty white beach. Now that I’m living in Maryland and the winter weather drags on a bit too much for my liking, St. Petersburg is truly a paradise perfect for a getaway. Recently, we did a family bridal shower in the area and I was able to experience it with my Mom for a mother daughter weekend. We stayed at the Inn on the Beach and it quickly became a charming spot we plan on visiting again and again!Inn on the BeachBeach w Don CInn on the Beach is located on a pretty strip of beach just past St. Petersburg called Pass-a-grille. It’s not only an absolutely stunning beach but it’s quiet and still within walking distance to fun restaurants and beach bars.

And yes we really pose like this, ha! Do we look alike or what?!
Mom and Meg on balconyThe location of the Inn on the Beach is perfect! It’s literally across the street from the beach and we were able to simply walk out on our balcony and take in the ocean. The rooms were adorable and full of festive beach decor. Ours had a full kitchen so we were able to store food and drinks and make little beach picnics with no problem!Mom Reading
Kitchen 2The bed felt so great and crisp after wonderful hours spent in the sun! Also, I must mention the staff were so friendly and helpful. I love a cheerful laid back vibe when I’m on vacation and they were spot on with everything!Inn on the BeachOne of my favorite things about this weekend was the breakfast spread. The Inn on the Beach is a small getaway with a courtyard in the middle. Breakfast was served everyday outside and we mingled with other guests and truly took our time with our coffee. The older I become the more and more this becomes a favorite vacation ritual for me! It truly reminded me of a hotel we stayed at in Greece that had a similar vibe. They set up this great beach cart complete with chairs and umbrella that was easy to wheel with us.Collage BeachOf course no beach trip for me is complete without a mid-afternoon cocktail at a beach bar. This one was appropriately called a sun tan!
Inn on the BeachNothing can beat the sunset in Pass-a-grille unless its a sunset spent with good friends! Here we are with the bride-to-be and our favorite other mother daughter duoInn on the BeachJust look at those colors! I can’t wait to go back again. These times spent with family are so special and important to me. Knowing that I now have the perfect place to stay at Inn on the Beach with great service located at a family friendly and ideal beach for swimming, walking and sandcastles, makes traveling there such a no brainer. And it’s just a short drive from the airport! Spring break next year here we come!Meg on Beach
