New Entryway & Cork Lamp

This post could be called a variety of things like The Calm in a Sea of Boxes, or O’ Cork Lamp How I Love Thee, Let me Count the Ways. When Lamps.com reached out to see if I could style this lamp from the Diamond HGTV line I was stoked! I mean you know I love a good nautical accent and cork always brings that feeling home for me. And then I remembered that I was still living among a massive pile of boxes due to our recent move. So, I decided to create one small spot in our house that felt a bit finished.  I moved this round table, that previously lived in my old living room, to the foyer since it is literally the only curved piece I have. I then scoured the boxes for the one marked “coffee table books” and selected some of my favorites.  Throw in a Jake newborn photo and my favorite Anthropologie candle and I’m a happy camper!

This lamp gives us great ambiance during the day, but especially at night. I just love how the light sparkles through the shade!

Having a spot pulled together that looks polished and more like us feels like a breath of fresh air. Everywhere I look I see projects (for instance the entryway blue is a little too country for me and I would prefer a more craftsman style front door to the one that we currently have) but this house has great bones and I can’t wait to get more unpacked and dive in.  House tour to come soon, promise!
