Peppermint Boozy Shake

A nice boozy peppermint shake is a fabulous way to celebrate the holidays after the kiddos go to bed! Read on to see how to make our super simple boozy shake recipe!

Now that it’s officially the holiday season, you know we can’t get enough of sharing holiday treats! On that note, we absolutely love a good boozy milkshake around these parts! I mean who doesn’t? They make for perfect holiday treats, especially the particular peppermint recipe we are sharing today. And, I must say, our hubbies l instantly perk up whenever we get in the mood to whip a batch! It’s an adult bev and a dessert all rolled into one tasty treat!

In fact, boozy shakes have actually kinda become a holiday vacation staple for us. So, a few weeks ago we decided we needed to conjure up a peppermint milkshake to help ring in the holiday season. But of course we just couldn’t stop there. We had to take it to the next level and add chocolate chip ice cream, rum AND some crushed candy canes. That’s right we truly out did ourselves! I mean crushed candy canes take everything to the next level! Am I right?

So, how do you make a boozy shake? Read on for the skinny on this not-so-skinny treat!

Shake Ingredients

Boozy Peppermint Milkshake Recipe

(Serves 2 small to medium sized portions.)

4 scoops of chocolate chip ice cream
1/3 cup milk
3 tbs rum
1 tsp. peppermint extract
2 tbs whip cream
1 crushed candy cane for garnish

Directions:

1. In a blender combine ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and rum. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour into glass and top with whip cream.

3. Garnish with crushed candy cane if desired. Enjoy!

Peppermint Shake

No one will complain when you hand them one of these peppermint chocolate chip boozy shakes. Trust us! Like I said, they have been delighting our husbands for years. Bwah! And being that we live in Florida, shakes are always a good idea! Even if you don’t live in the sunshine state, Meg lives in Maryland and her hubs will take one any day of the week, even a super cold one. They’re that good!

Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 scoops of chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1/3 cup milk
