Kristin and I love a good boozy milkshake! Its a rare treat and I dare say our hubby’s are looking pretty happy whenever we get in the mood to whip them up! They’ve kinda become our vacation staple. So a few weeks ago we decided we needed a peppermint milkshake to ring in the holiday season. But of course we just couldn’t stop there. We had to take it to the next level with chocolate chip ice cream, rum and crushed candy cane. That’s right we truly out did ourselves! Here’s the skinny on this not-so-skinny treat!
Peppermint Chocolate Chip Boozy Milkshake
(Serves 2 small to medium sized portions.)
4 Scoops of Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
1/3 cup Milk
3 Tblsp Rum
1 tsp. Peppermint Extract
Crushed Candy Cane for garnish
Directions: In blender combine ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and rum. Blend until smooth. Pour into glass and top with whip cream. Garnish with crushed candy cane if desired. Enjoy!
No one will complain when you hand them one of these. Promise! And with the warmer Christmas we’re expecting here in Maryland it might just be seasonally appropriate!
