Valentine’s Day Ready Outfits

With Valentine’s Day heading our way in a few weeks, I thought it would be a great time to talk Valentine’s Day style. While the hubs and I typically don’t go out on the actual day, we do try to plan a date around that time, whether that means it’s the weekend before or the weekend after. Mama loves an excuse to dress up. Now it’s not like I never dress up. I certainly try to bring a little style to most of my outfits, whether I’m in the school pick up line or grabbing coffee with the girls, but date night dressing up…It isn’t something that happens every week.

We do make time for each other. That’s definitely a priority for us as a couple, but, more often than not, our “us time” involves, the couch, a bottle of wine and Netflix. Haha! So, when we do carve out the time to actually go out, you know mama wants to pretty it up! As I contemplate my own Valentine’s Day date look plans, I thought I would share a few Valentine’s Day ready outfits with you in case you too have a hot date in the works!

fit and flare dress

Fit and flare…You can’t go wrong with a fit and flare dress and killer heels. Fit and flare styles are SO flattering and by going with a black and white number like Megan did hear, you can let your red mani or lips steal the show!

Leather jacket and dress…If you want to go for a slightly edgier look, the leather jacket and dress combo always works. Finish off your look with some booties and you’re good to go. And I’ve always found that tights do wonders for short hemlines. Just sayin’!

Valentine's Day ready outfits

Leather skirt…So, clearly I’m into leather. What can I say? If you’re going for sexy, a leather skirt will certainly do the trick. Just go a little more demure on top to balance out the mini(ish) style of a skirt like this and your luvahs won’t know what hit them!

I hope these Valentine’s Day ready outfits helped inspire you to get all dolled up for your own special night out! And for more Valentine’s Day inspiration, check out our Blood Orange Mimosa recipe. I certainly wouldn’t mind waking up with one of those on heart day! Who’s with me?

Those are all really pretty. We have a big date night for hubby’s birthday coming up tomorrow actually, so I need to find something to wear for that 🙂

Keeping it simple for Valentines day this year in my outfit selection. Thinking of doing a black dress from Nordstrom (Lush has my faves) and adding on some sparkled accessories! Nothing better than some glitz to glam up the evening, right?

Aw thanks! The grass is always greener. I always think how shorter women can get away with shorter dresses and look so cute!

Man we are defiantly not wearing shorter skirts here – we still have snow on the ground and its so cold here. We are in sweaters and coats!

Love this, I was literally just today thinking what to wear on this year’s Valentine’s Day. You look stunning – especially in the first outfit. Love how you’ve paired the red lips & nails with the monochrome dress. xx

I love a great fit and flare dress especially when it has pockets. The black one is great with the detailing by the hem line. I need to add a few more to my collection.

Such pretty looks. I doubt we will be doing anything for valentines so I dont have anything ready. We are usually just hanging out at home with the kids but I’d love any of these looks!
