Spice It Up With This Velvet Fringe Kimono

How to Wear a Velvet Fringe Kimono

I love adding rich tones and fabrics into my wardrobe once the weather really snaps into fall. And I’m so glad it has because I’ve been absolutely dying to wear this velvet fringe kimono!

Now you know Kirstin and I both love kimonos, ponchos, and just about anything that is an easy and comfortable way to look festive in under 10 seconds. Speed is often the name of my game when getting ready. Ahhh how I long for those days when I got like a good ninety minutes to get ready for a party. Kids kind of interfere with my “gettin’ ready time.”

I recently picked up this velvet fringe kimono while browsing at Target with Kristin’s daughter. Having boys I never get to look at clothes for myself while shopping. What a different experience it is with a girl! She was all over making me try on anything she found that she liked. It was totally adorable! And when she brought me this velvet fringe kimono I did a double take. It was easy to throw on, pretty and I love the fun fringe detail. Oh and I did I mention it is only $27.99! What a score! Into the cart it went! (See our link to it below!)

Styling this kimono is a cinch! I added my favorite v-neck tee (also from Target, do you see the pattern here?!), my H&M black skinny jeans and a pair of open-toed black booties. Add an oversized tote, bold lip and sunnies and you can take this look anywhere. For me it will be worn on Friday night for a dinner out with a good friend. It’s the perfect amount of dressy casual that can go to a bar or baby shower. That’s a lot of wear out of $27.99, don’t you think?
