Monday Mingle: The Open Cardigan
We had a bit of a cold snap here in Florida this past weekend. It wasn’t exactly freezing, but there was a bit of a chill in the air. I didn’t necessarily need a coat, but layers were a good idea. So, I brought out one of my favorite season to season transitional pieces, the open cardigan. It’s the perfect piece for that in between kind of weather…and I have a new go-to cardi that has been loving coming out to play.
I picked up this printed number from Nordstrom a few weeks ago and have already worn it several times. For my latest look, I paired it with a tank, Lysse leggings, the Steve Madden slip on sneakers I can’t seem to take off and a cheeky Katy Perry inspired necklace from Claire’s. Those sneakers are like butter people…seriously. But back to the topic at hand…Let’s talk about why I love open cardies so much. They give you some coverage, without being too heavy. It could be cool in the morning and warm up in the afternoon, yet you’ll stay comfortable all day long in your outfit because…you guessed it…open cardies are perfect transitional pieces!
