Monday Mingle: How to Wear Turquoise in the Winter

There are colors that I wear every spring and summer, the warm weather seasons if you will, and turquoise is one of them. While cobalt is my official happy color, you the color that makes me smile every time I put it on, turquoise runs a very close second. In fact, even though it’s a traditional warm weather color for me, I’ve found it sneaking into my winter looks too…especially this winter.

I’ve actually been wearing it mostly in bauble form. The color goes great with all the grey and black in my winter wardrobe. Haha! I picked up a couple of turquoise pieces last year that have been getting a lot of play every since they came home with me.

turquoise ring

My favorite is hands down the turquoise ring I picked up in Sedona. The hubs and I went on a little getaway there last spring and totally fell in love. Every time I wear that ring it reminds me of that beautiful place and the wonderful time we had!

turquoise necklace

I also snagged a turquoise statement necklace last year that’s just as versatile as my ring. It provides such a fun pop of color and I know it’s going to continue to get a ton of wear right on into spring and summer as well. I’m all about a good statement necklace!

So, are you wearing turquoise this winter too lovelies? And now that you’ve seen what I’ve been wearing, head over to Momtrends and Thirty Something Fashion to see what they’ve been styling. But first, make sure you add your own fashion focused post to our link up below!

Turquoise is making a comeback! I still have a necklace from the late ’70’s I should locate ad put back into my jewelry box. Love the rings!

Kristen the turquoise ring and necklace are both stunners – I haven’t owned anything in turquoise since the 90s I reckon, you’ve made me think I’d like to get something in it again!!

Love the ponchos too – I tried one on at the weekend almost identical to your first one. Don’t know why I showed restraint though, that’s not like me at all, hehe!!! Thank you so much for hosting, have a great week!

Those pieces are so pretty!! And they do add some fun to your outfits. I find, too, that adding some color not only brightens up my outfit, but my mood as well.
