Color Combo Crush: Black and Brown

Growing up it was drilled into us that wearing black and brown together was a no no. Such silliness right? When I finally decided to throw caution to the wind and ignore most fashion “rules,” apart from the rule of fit (which is gospel), wearing black and brown together was one of the first things I did. Now, do I wear chocolate and black together? Not typically…but cognac or camel? Absolutely!

In fact, a couple years ago my girl Carly included this fabulous cognac colored jacket in one of of my TSF Box Service boxes and I find myself, more often than night, rockin’ it with black. I have well over ten black v-neck t-shirts and slipping this jacket on over one of those with skinnies is just so easy, yet looks pulled together. All I have to add then is a an accessory or two…In today’s case, I wore a brown and rainbow beaded necklace that has quickly become a go to…It goes with so much. Just like my brown jacket!

The finishing touch to this  were my beloved animal print Minnetonka moccasins. You know I bust those bad boys out any chance I can get. The end result was a cute, comfy outfit that this busy mama can run around town bangin’ out errands in. Anytime I can can combine style with function, I’m a happy girl. There’s no reason we can’t be comfortable, while at the same time showin’ some style right?
