4 Tips for Summer Ready Skin

Everyone knows that Summer is my absolute favorite time of year. When DC temps get crazy hot and humid I’m the one person you can count on to be annoyingly optimistic about it. Lets just sit outside and have a cocktail and forget how hot it is! Of course that doesn’t mean that this fair Irish skin of mine can go unprotected. Here are some tips I do to keep this face of mine looking fresh all season long. I mean a girls gotta work with what she’s got!

1. Hydration is the name of the game. I try to drink a lot of water all the time but especially in the summer. To keep it from getting mundane I like to add some fun flavor. Sipping ice water with lemon and lime slices poolside feels like the very essence of summer!

This is even more paramount in the summer when I am outdoors so much more. I’ve been using the RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Daily Moisturizer with an SPF of 30 for a few months now. I apply a few minutes before I put on my make-up and my skin has loved it!

Not only does it keep me cooler but it also keeps sweat off my face and neck area. Great for keeping skin summer ready!

4. Laughing and Splashing. Of course nothing makes a woman prettier than a smile. Taking time to let my guard down and have fun with the boys is my favorite summer skin tip. And with my skin protected with RoC I don’t have to stress that I’m burning when they beg to go outside and splash around.
