Cozy Chic Winter Style from J. Jill

paris

It’s not quite coat wearing weather here in Florida, but I just got back from Europe (that’s me in front of Notre Dame de Paris) where a cozy coat was definitely in order and I’m headed out for my monthly trip to New York City today, so you can bet my new J. Jill Stockbridge Long Down Puffer Coat is going to get plenty of wear this winter…And not just because it’s toasty warm. It’s just so darn cute! How often do you hear that about a puffer coat? Haha!

I chose this particular coat because I needed something practical that I could pack easily, but you know me, I always have style on the brain. So, I wanted something that brought fashion and function together…and that’s just what this coat does! It has a slimmer silhouette than most puffers, so it doesn’t give you that bulky look us girls don’t exactly covet. Instead, it gives off a decidedly cozy chic kinda vibe.

For today’s featured outfit, I decided to pair my favorite new piece of outerwear with the J. Jill Ultrasoft Chenille Cable Sweater in a festive red hue. It went great with my forest green plaid blanket scarf too. Clearly, I’m seriously feelin’ the holiday spirit. Haha! But don’t expect me to put away my red after Christmas is over. I mean Valentine’s Day will be headed our way before we know it! Plus, red is one of my happy colors. And when you find colors that put a smile on your face whenever you wear them, you rock them all year long!

  1. What a great choice for Europe. This time of the year can be pretty chilly. Packing for cooler weather is difficult because you don’t want to carry a coat that weighs a lot. This one is great. I love the red sweater – red is the best.
