Denim on Denim for Fall
It took me a while to come around to the denim on denim trend, but once I did, I fell in love. There are so many fun ways to wear it this fall! One of the easiest ways, I think, is to select denim pieces in contrasting washes. A nice light chambray shirt, for instance, and a darker rinse pair of jeans go seamlessly together. The look is so subtle, you have room to play around with your shoes and accessories…And that brings me to two more fall trends that I will forever be crushing on, orange and animal prints.
I tend to turn to classic seasonal hues, whether they’re “in” or not and what says fall more than a nice. warm pumpkin orange. It looks beautiful on a variety of skin tones and plays well with other colors and prints too. Personally, I wear it with animal prints a lot. They dominate my wardrobe and are definitely a staple for me all fall and winter long. Take today’s denim on denim look for instance. I paired my denim shirt and boyfriend jeans with a fun orange statement necklace and animal print slip on sneakers. Look at that…I’m about to talk about ANOTHER fall go-to of mine.
Remember the love affair I had with slip on sneakers last year? Well, that love has not faded! I can’t resist anything that’s cute AND comfy. I guess oversized denim shirts fall in that camp too. I can’t wait to try this beauty out with leggings too, but I digress…I have a feeling my new leopard Vans and denim shirt are both going to get a lot of play this season. I mean look how versatile the shirt is…I wore it tied up HERE. And that was a denim on denim look too. See? I can’t get enough!

This is such a great look on you! I haven’t tried the denim on denim look yet, but you make it look so effortless and worth trying. Love the necklace by the way.
I absolutely adore those leopard sneakers. It’s taking me awhile to get on board with denim on denim but I totally agree with you, contrasting the washes is a great way to do it! http://www.styleinharmony.com
