I’ve always loved Thanksgiving. What’s not to love, right? I mean it has the 3 F’s. Family, food and football! Having a home of my own to host Thanksgiving has made the holiday even more special. So, when I was asked to pull together a Thanksgiving tablescape with ProFlowers, I jumped at the chance. Their flowers are gorgeous and delivered right to your doorstep. Um, yes please! We have the quintessential large modern family, which means that in recent years we’ve had up to nine guests bunking up with us for the long weekend. This year however, we are down to just one other couple, which means it should be a quieter and more relaxed affair. I’m looking forward to a nice long weekend filled with food and peaceful moments, so I tried to take that feeling and translate it into this simple table setting.
I chose the Happy Harvest Centerpiece. Not only do I love the selection of flowers paired unexpectedly with an artichoke, it’s not too high or large, leaving room to have conversation and a lot of side dishes! I also added a tablecloth in a neutral shade with gold stripes.
And just because the table is smaller this year doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be just as special. To give a feeling of warmth and elegance, I took a few flowers from the Fall Harvest bouquet and dressed up each place setting. I love the look and would just make sure to have a small bud vase on hand to store flowers once the napkin rings come off.
For some whimsy, the Turkey Cake Pops look adorable and are great after dinner treats for both adults and kids. I also think they would make the perfect gift to take your Thanksgiving hostess!
So there is my take on a casual, yet chic thanksgiving tablescape. What are your plans this year? Anyone else looking for some flowers to jazz up their table? Make sure to check out the ProFlowers Thanksgiving Pinterest board for some great ideas!
