The holidays are right around the corner, and I don’t know about you but I’ve already started planning a party. I love adding little special touches to a celebration that are easy and don’t break the bank. Here are two little ways to make your holiday party shine bright this year.
First we have Candy Cane Flutes. This tasty rimmed glass just screams holiday fun, don’t you think? Here’s how to achieve the look:
Candy Cane Flutes
1. Melt some chocolate chips in a microwave bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
2. Throw a few candy canes in a zip lock bag and crush with a kitchen mallet or sturdy glass.
3. Dip rim of flutes into chocolate and sprinkle with candy cane bits. Let them harden upside down on a plate to ensure no candy drips. I found it helpful to chill them in the fridge to harden faster.
4. Pour in the bubbly and wow your guests!
For an easy centerpiece that adds sparkly volume, fill an apothecary jar with bright ornaments in different shapes and textures. This is a kid friendly activity that instantly dresses up any table or mantle with holiday cheer. If you prefer to save your favorite ornaments for the tree, just head to your nearest big box store for inexpensive ornaments that will coordinate and look great!
Happy party planning! Tell us, do you have any easy holiday tips or tricks?

I love this DIY project and will totally do it for our get together this year. I love easy projects with equally easy to find supplies/ingredients.
I see your website has changed. It looks very nice except it was hard to see which was your recent post and when it was posted. I am sure it is just me and my non technical side. 🙂
