Read on to see how to host a sweet and simple fall harvest happy hour…
Not only do my best friend and I have a lot in common, so do our moms. They are both excellent hostesses. You know, the kind who anticipates their guests’ every need.
In fact, my bestie’s mom hosts a fall harvest happy hour every year complete with drinks, apps and sweet treats. Now doesn’t that sound like something you would want to attend?

How to Host a Fall Harvest Happy Hour
I don’t think I really appreciated the art of entertaining until I hit my thirties. Ever since then I’ve tried to soak up all mom’s know-how so I can throw the memorable kind of shindigs she does.
I’m still working on it, bwah, but I have picked up a trick or two and I’m willing to share! And on that note, let’s talk about how you too can throw your own fall harvest happy hour, the easy version.
I don’t know about you, but to say I am over scheduled this time of year would be an understatement. Thankfully things are somewhat returning too normal after a very different holiday season last year, so I am certainly not complaining.
That being said, at this point anything I plan has to be quick and painless because I simply don’t have the time for anything more involved.
I already have quite a few holiday engagements on the books and it started this month. I’m not the only who immediately wants to get festive starting November 1st right?
And there is no reason Christmas festivities need to get all the fun! Fall events can be just as festive. So, let’s talk about my super simple Fall Harvest Happy Hour ideas shall we?
Holiday Happy Hour Drink Must-Haves

1. First up, you need wine. I love a good fall cocktail as much as the next gal, but when I’m short on time a good quality wine like Rodney Strong Wines never lets me down! From their Cabernet Sauvignon to their Chardonnay, Rodney Strong Wines have something for every wine lover at your pre-Thanksgiving happy hour!
I usually pour myself to enjoy when I’m getting ready to have people over. I put on a little music, sip on one of my go-to Sonoma Wines like the 2018 Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon or the 2019 California Chardonnay and really get into the spirit of things! It of course depends on my mood.
Do I want a wine with notes of dark cherry, plum and baking spices? Or do I prefer a lemon curd and apple with hints of toasty oak and baking spices? Either way, a girl can’t go wrong.
Plus, I love that the Klein Family, 4th generation California farmers, are committed to protecting and preserving the environment in both the vineyards and at the winery through sustainable farming and winemaking. I can feel great about enjoying and serving this wrong, but I digress…
The Best Holiday Happy Hour Snack

2. Next you need nibbles. My mom always has a dip at her get togethers…always! So, it is in her honor that I present to you my Easy Tahini Garlic Dip recipe. It pairs perfectly with dippers like sliced peppers and pretzels!
Thanks to Dorot Gardens Crushed Garlic this dip recipe really loves up to its easy claim! It’s pre-portioned garlic, already peeled, chopped and measured. 1 Dorot Garden Garlic cube = 1 garlic clove, easy peasy!
On a side note, garlic is actually known to helps ease infections and inflammations. Being that inflammation is often an issue for me, I try to sneak it into my recipes whenever I can! So, the fact that I don’t have to worry about the garlic I buy going bad is clutch. With just a pop of the tray I can have a fresh new garlic clove ready in flash!
Dorot Gardens also offers Crushed Ginger, Chopped Basil, and Sauteed Glazed Onions. You can bet all these Dorot will be in heavy rotation this holiday season! It’s the ultimate kitchen hack if you ask me.
For this fun tahini garlic dip simply mix together the following:
2 garlic cloves, 4 ounces cream cheese, 1/2 cup tahihi, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 tbs whole milk, salt and pepper to taste

Being that I love not only each and very Thanksgiving episode of Friends along with every single holiday episode, this cookbook is definitely for me and any fellow Friends fanatic. It would make a great holiday gift too. Just sayin’.

4. Now with the more savory snacks, I also always to try to offer a sweet option even if it’s a last-minute get together. So, I keep a couple tubes of ready to serve cookies like Dewey’s Cookies Sugar Moravian Cookies Large Tube and Ginger Spice Moravian Cookie Large Tube in the pantry!
