Cranberry Margarita Recipe

If I asked you to think of a flavor, aside from pumpkin and apple, that reminds you of this particular time of year, what would it be? I would have to say cranberry myself. Cranberries are just delicious in everything from Thanksgiving side dishes to holiday cocktails! Plus, they add such a pretty pop of color to anything they’re put in. Why not start using them now? It may only be October, but November will be here before we know it! Let’s start counting those blessings…

Personally, I have so much to be thankful for this year! We had a big health scare with my son this summer and knowing that he’s finally on the mend has me all kinds of grateful! For the first time in a while, it feels like the hubs and I can breathe. It’s been so long since we truly exhaled. It feels so good! We could definitely use some time off from worrying and a ‘rents only happy hour, cranberry style, sounds perfect!

What would be a better way to enjoy a fall cocktail hour with your honey, then with a batch of Cranberry Margarita cocktails? They would be perfect for any fall get togethers or dinner parties you’re planning too. And don’t be afraid to put cranberry margaritas on your holiday menus either. Whether you’re spending quality time with your spouse, like I plan to, or playing board games with your buds, this cocktail is just right to enjoy all season long! 

I definitely suggest that you bookmark it for Thanksgiving time because this Cranberry Margarita recipe would be such a fun way to use up any leftover cranberries laying around the house. It’s the kind of festive cocktail that pairs great with leftover turkey sandwiches too. Just don’t eat Ross,’ unless you have a marg to offer him too. BWAH! Seriously, however you decide to enjoy these fall margaritas, I hope you will love them as much as I do!

Serves 3-4

Ingredients
1 ½ cups cranberry juice
¾ cup lime juice (fresh is best)
⅔ cup tequila
½ cup Triple Sec (or other orange-flavored liqueur)
Ice
For garnish if desired: lime wedges, cranberries, and sugar to rim glass

Directions:

To Rim Glasses: Take a lime wedge and rub along the rim of the glass. Pour some sugar on a small plate. Dip rim of glass onto plate and the sugar will stick to make it a pretty sugar rimmed glass. Do this prior to pouring the margaritas.

Combine all of the ingredients into a pitcher and stir until blended. Fill glasses with ice. Pour cranberry margaritas into glasses. Top with a lime wedge and several cranberries for garnish.

These cranberry margaritas are the perfect fall drink or holiday cocktail!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 3 minutes
Total Time 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cranberry juice

    I love myself a good margarita! I don’t drink too much, but this seems lovely and perfect for the holidays. I will add this to my cocktail recipe collection. I’m sure our guests will love it!
