My friend Cait is getting married! Squeal! You might remember from some previous posts and she’s basically one of my right hand ladies when it comes to DIY and just generally getting ourselves into trouble. Mostly of the shopping variety. So, with the big day only a few weeks away, we threw her a fall themed shower at my home. Of course that meant I was busy hosting and only took a handful of pictures but I wanted to share the ones I did manage to snag.
For the decor, we added in some fun fall accents and even reused some of the cute decorations from my Diaper Drive. This sign greeted folks as they entered and I just love the white pumpkin candle I picked up at Target. Our friend Mara has an amazing eye for flower arrangement and made three fall centerpieces to display. How gorgeous is that combination? I just love the sunflowers! All the flowers came from Whole Foods and were stunning! One of the perks of hosting is that I’ve been enjoying these arrangements ever since.
Our friend and co-hostess Ashely handled the bar like a champ, serving up delicious Apple Cider mimosas.
After mingling inside for a while, the skies cleared so we decided to truly embrace the theme and enjoy the fall weather, taking the cake and gifts outside. And here’s the bride-to-be cutting the cake. Isn’t she just glowing?! That dress was actually her great grandmother’s and is over 75 years old! Gotta love vintage fashion and I just adore the sentiment of remembering family and generations past during such special life milestones.
For favors, guests picked a mini-gold tipped pumpkin from our pumpkin patch. That long stemmed one on the right just kills me!
It was a great day and I loved including the current season as inspiration for the decor and details. Now we just have three weeks until dancing it up at her wedding. I can’t wait!
