Free Reading and Writing App and the Hot Story After
I always love hearing about successful women. As an entrepreneur myself, I get so excited when I see another women achieve her dreams! So, when I heard about Anna Todd and the After saga, thanks to One2One Network, I was floored by what this young woman was able to achieve by simply using her smartphone. This One Direction fan dreamed up After, a story about a young coed named Tessa and a British bad boy named, Hardin Scott, who was inspired by One Direction singer Harry Styles. You know…Taylor Swift’s ex. Is it bad that that’s how I know him?
Now I may not be that well versed in One Direction music, but I can certainly relate to loving a band that much. I was New Kids on the Block’s number one fan after all. Haha! Why didn’t I write some New Kids on the Block fan fiction? Ahhhhhh, a missed opportunity…but I digress. I so admire the way Anna was able to tap into her creative channels and create her story with the free app Wattpad. In case you haven’t heard of Wattpad before, it’s a reading and writing app that you can use to read and share stories from your favorite mobile device. And anyone, a published author or not, can share a story. So, if you’re a novice writer and looking to get noticed, Wattpad may be for you!
What started as a little something Anna wrote on her phone in her free time has since transitioned into a published novel and the online versions have been viewed over 1 billion times and received more than 6 million comments. By using other social platforms like Twitter and Instagram, she really kept the story alive for her fans. I think it’s so cool the way she integrated social channels into continuing on her story. Did I mention that Paramount has acquired the rights to the film version? Amazing! You never know where life is going to take you lovelies. Not too long ago Anna was was working odd jobs and now she’s a published author. If that isn’t proof enough to go after your dreams, I don’t know what is!
And I do believe I’m going to delve into After myself…I hear this book, a bubble bath and a hot cuppa tea calling my name!

I had never heard of Wattpad before hearing about Anna Todd and “After.” It is absolutely amazing that she has been able to achieve so much in just a year while sharing a part of herself and her love of One Direction with the social community on Wattpad. I love that!

I’m glad she was able to use Wattpad for something so cool, but I hate the way she portrayed Harry. I have a Directioner at home, and I can say that I don’t think Harry would EveR act like Hardin. I do think that Wattpad is pretty awesome, though!

It is a wonderful story for her. I do think life can take us into areas we once never dreamed. And that’s an amazing thing.
