The Perfect Lightweight Scarf for Fall

We hope you’ve been enjoying all the fun fall looks we’ve been sharing as a part of our Moms Do Fall Fashion series! Each day we’ve been pairing up with a fabulously fashionable blogger and today our partner in crime is Mimi from Unlikely Martha! If I had to pick my favorite fall accessory, it would have to be the scarf. Scarves can instantly elevate a look with minimal effort. Take my fall uniform, for instance…If you don’t find me in skinnies, you’ll find me in leggings on most fall days. Leggings, a tunic / cardi and booties is a pretty easy look to put together. To keep from getting bored, I switch things up with a scarf, namely a lightweight scarf in the early fall.

Take today’s featured look…Black and grey made for a nice neutral palette to work with. By finishing things off with a bright blue lightweight scarf that I got in my latest Stitch Fix box, I added a cheerful pop of color that really brightens up a girl’s face. And what’s great about this scarf, beyond the color, is that it’s lightweight enough to work in the early fall months when the weather doesn’t seem to know if it wants to be 75 or 6o. Haha! And it’s oversized which means that there are a million and one ways to style it.

In fact, most of my scarf collection includes oversized pieces. I should probably branch out a little bit. Bwah! I just can’t help myself. When I’m running late and don’t have time to fully style an outfit, I know I can always amp things up by throwing on one of my oversized scarves. I know this new lightweight scarf is going to get a lot of play! As are my new Rag & Bone Newbury Booties…I can’t get enough of them! Just like scarves, their so darn versatile!
