The Perfect Statement Necklace for Vacation
You may think the time to wear maxi dresses is winding down, but that’s not the case for this girl! Not only do they easily transition to early fall with the addition of a denim jacket for instance, but they’re a must have for getaways. In fact, Megan and I just got back from a girlfriends’ getaway in Arizona and I, of course, packed some of my favorite maxis, along with the perfect statement necklace, to take along for the ride.As you’ve probably noticed, tie dye is kinda my jam and this teal tie dye maxi is no exception. It’s perfectly flowy silhouette is just what you need if you’re headed to a tropical or desert destination like me. And if you pick a statement making print like tie dye, you need little else but a fabulous piece of statement jewelry, like that perfect statement necklace I mentioned, and perhaps some metallic sandals.
They’re both also on my getaway must haves list because by bringing along just a few pieces of versatile statement jewelry, you can cut down on what you have to pack. And metallic sandals go with nearly everything, so you shouldn’t need multiple pairs of shoes either. Don’t ask me if I practice what I preach though. I may or may not have packed 7 pairs of shoes for this trip. Bwah! In my defense we went to a dude ranch, so I had cowboy boots, sneakers, hiking boots, sandals and such that were most necessary. Just sayin’.
As far as the fabulous statement necklace that I’m rockin’ here goes, it’s my new favorite piece from Manic Trout. I’ve yet to meet an agate necklace I didn’t love. There is something about that raw looking stone that I’m drawn to. And being that mint is a hot color for fall, I know my perfect statement necklace is going to get a lot of wear in the coming season. I can already see it setting off my tunic, leggings and jeans fall uniform!
