If there is one thing I’ve extensively sampled…It’s coffee. We have a regular old coffee machine, a french press, not one…but two espresso machines and now, thanks to Starbucks, I’ve tried my hand at pour over brewing. Let me tell you something lovelies, if you’re a fellow java junkie like moi, you must try this method of brewing. Just in case this concept is new to you…I thought it would be fun to show you how to brew pour over coffee. t couldn’t be any easier!
All you need are some of your favorite beans, a coffee filter, a mug and a pour over brewer. I went for Starbucks’ Veranda Blend this time around. While I love a strong, bold flavor, I also enjoy a nice, mild taste every now and again as well…Therefore, a blonde roast is my jam. But if I did want a stronger cuppa Joe, I could control that with how many beans I use. Just sayin’.
So, let’s talk about how you use a pour over brewer…You simply grind up your beans (or go the pre-ground route if you don’t want to deal with that step), place a coffee filter in the brewer, set it on top of your mug, add your coffee and pour hot water over the top. That’s it! Now that I have the hang of it, you can bet pour over coffee brewing is going to be happening a lot more in this house!
