Holiday Traditions to Remember

If there is one thing I love about the holidays, it’s the traditions. The holidays are a BIG deal in our family and we have holiday traditions that have been around for more than one generation. For instance, my mom gives us Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve and that’s been going on for as long as I can remember. My sister and I have always been able to each open one gift, which is always jammies, and that’s still happening even though we’re now both in our thirties. That’s no joke!

We also always have Hickory Farms summer sausage as a part of our large and in charge holiday appetizers spreads…Did you know that it was voted  the #1 Summer Sausage in America? Clearly I know what good summer sausage is. Haha! And now that Hickory Farms also offers delicious chocolate, I daresay you’ll be seeing it on our holiday table as well. If there’s one thing almost every single of my family can’t resist, it’s chocolate. Remember how delectable the chocolate that Meg posted looked? You can pick up The Signature Chocolate Collection for your house  in select stores, from the catalogue or online at

Hickory Farms

Now while I love these holiday traditions, we’ve also made the habit of something else that has become dear to my heart. Giving back is so important…And it’s important all year long, but I’ve found that people have being charitiable even more on their radar during the holidays. So, now is the perfect time to reach out to your loved ones and see if they would like to join you in supporting a worthy cause!

Did you know Hickory Farms supports the Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign? Share Our Strength’s focus is working to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. For each Hickory Farms Party Planner gift box sold this holiday season, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. That could add up to so much for so many! Even if you’re all set for your holiday celebrations, I bet you could use some yummy goodies for your New Year festivities…Just sayin’.

Happy holidays lovelies! We hope you and yours have some beautiful holiday traditions of your own this year!
