How to Dress up a Sweater Dress

You may have noticed that we like our Stitch Fix around these parts. We don’t always keep every single item in our boxes, but we’ve scored more than a few fabulous finds since we started receiving our “Fixes” and this sleeveless sweater dress is no exception. When I pulled it out, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it, but I tried it on because you never know right? It looked like it was going to be very body hugging which isn’t always the look I’m going for. I’m still fighting against some extra pounds thanks to my thyroid condition and since I’ve been on this weight loss journey, I’ve really had to push myself to wear things that I might not otherwise.

I was pleasantly surprised by just how comfortable I felt in this dress. It is fairly body conscious, but not too much so. So, I decided to keep it and dress it up a bit for the holidays. One of the great things about sweater dresses is how easily you can dress them up or down. All it took to add a little holiday glitz to mine was a layered statement necklace. I could have even added stilettos, but I tried to go for a slight edgier vibe be adding my go-to black booties. Someone who adds the perfect bit of edge to her looks is Carly.
