Tips for Cooking Steak in an Instant Pot

Don’t brown the steak before putting it in the Instant Pot. That step can be completed right in your pot. It really is a kitchen tool you won’t want live without after you use it that first time. It just makes your kitchen life so easy. And if 2020 owes us anything, it’s less stress. Bwah!

I love the grill, but cooking on it is a whole process. This is a much quicker way to cook your steak and you don’t have to sacrifice taste! It obviously doesn’t taste exactly the same as a grilled steak, but it is just as good in my opinion!

Us busy moms like time-savers right? Well, the Instant Pot is the ultimate time-saver. And it’s a great steak cooking trick to have up your sleeve for those nights you can’t spend an hour or more cooking dinner.

Frankly, there aren’t many nights I can do that. My daughter dances three nights a week. My son loves golf and tennis. You get the picture. I’m a great chauffeur. Haha!

So, why Thai steak? Well, I love Thai food. It’s that simple. I dream of the day when I can once again I can sit down at a teeny tiny table at our favorite local neighborhood Thai restaurant and order my go-to dish.

Don’t worry. We have been supporting our local restaurants by ordering and picking up takeout meals, but there are some locations that don’t offer outdoor seating, so until we can comfortably dine there again, we’re eating at our house.

And when we don’t treat ourselves to takeout, we try to channel our go-to restaurant meals at home. This Thai steak dinner is so delicious, it will make you feel like you’re eating out. I recommend setting a special table and making a real occasion out of it.
