5 Minute Strawberry Shortcake
I love a good dessert. Who doesn’t right? Bwah! Growing up we had a sweet treat after almost every dinner. So, it’s no wonder I have been left with a bit of a sweet tooth as an adult! These days it’s not an every night affair, but I do tend to make a special dessert at least once or twice a week, and always for company.
Company deserves dessert, plain and simple, but so does your family. And being that I’m seeing my family more than company right now, they’re coming out ahead in that department. Haha!
Imagine my delight when I discovered that this 5-minute strawberry shortcake dessert can be assembled quickly, but taste like it took a ton of time to prepare. Thank you Trader Joe’s! My family needed the pick-me-up and I look like a hero!
My Top Trader Joe’s Picks
Here’s the skinny. Well, er, not so skinny, but it has strawberries which makes it feel like a somewhat lighter dessert! The last time I found myself in Trader Joe’s I ended up with a lot of fun things in my cart.
Let’s face it. I’m trying to load up whenever I venture out to the store, but even back in the day when I didn’t need to stock up, Trader Joe’s always convinced me to buy more than what was on my list. Bwah! I went in there for one or two things and came out with a cart full of items I just can’t wait to try.

One item that I tossed into the cart during my Trader Joe’s shopping trip was their Shortcake Biscuits. You can’t go wrong with ready made items that taste great! Fast and tasty? Um, yes please. And I knew just what I was going to do with them. And that brings us how to make this easy 5 minute strawberry shortcake dessert…
Later that day, I simply washed and cut up a bowl of strawberries, then tossed them with a teaspoon or so of sugar and allowed them to sit for a while. Next, I halved one of the biscuits and then divided the strawberries among them. Finally, I topped my easy 5 minute strawberry shortcake dessert with a healthy (that’s the southern way of saying massive pile) of whipped cream and then added a slice of strawberry on top for garnish.
This strawberry shortcake dessert tastes so great that guests will never guess they are SO easy to make, and, bonus, they’re pretty too! And now that you’ve seen a recipe that I’m enjoying this spring, head on over to to our friend Krystal’s site to check out her strawberry monster shake! It’s a seriously fun strawberry dessert…and we know you love those!

I love strawberry shortcake. My daughter likes it this way too except we use heavy cream. She likes sponge cake and I like angel food. I like your shortcake biscuits. We will have to try that sometime.
