Simple Frozen Strawberry Pie Recipe

We’re always looking for simple summer desserts to add to our go-to recipes and it doesn’t get much easier than this frozen strawberry pie recipe!

Now that most of us are officially on summer time, let’s talk summer recipes! I’m just loving the warmer temperatures. And you know what that warm weather asks for? The answer is icy, cool treats! It feels so good to slow down and enjoy sweet treats like this frozen strawberry pie, featuring Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk. It’s super easy to make AND it can be made ahead and left in the freezer.

You just simply have to pull it out when you are ready to serve it to your family or guests. Even better, this recipe is easy enough my kids were able to get in the kitchen and help make me make it. I love when that happens! And kitchen time with Mom is a no-brainer summer boredom buster! So, that’s a bonus. Hey, I’ll take any little help I can get in the boredom busting department, but I digress…

Frozen Strawberry Pie Recipe

Graham Cracker Crust Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of crushed graham crackers. (My kids love to help with this part!)
1/2 cup sugar
6 Tbsp. melted butter

Pie Filling Ingredients:
14 oz can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
cup heavy whipping cream (1)
1 1/2 cup pureed strawberries with a few Tbsp sugar added to them (I use a blender or food processor)

Directions:

1. To make the pie crust preheat oven to 375. Mix graham cracker crumbs and sugar. Place evenly in a greased pie dish and then pour melted butter over evenly. Press into a crust. Bake for 7 minutes and then let cool.

2. For the pie filling, first beat the heavy whipping cream in a chilled bowl until you see stiff peaks. Fold in condensed milk and strawberry puree. Pour into cooled pie crust. Immediately cover and freeze for four hours or until ready to eat.

3. Allow to sit on counter for 5 minutes before cutting. Garnish with strawberries and serve!

My kids loved this pie as much as my grown-up party guests did. I’m sure the fact that they took some pride in preparing it helped! And being that the recipe doesn’t require any prep to be done while guests are over, I was able to enjoy the party as much as they did. I hate being stuck in the kitchen instead of mingling with the people I invited over. What good is a party if the hostess isn’t out hosting? That’s why I love making dessert ahead of time. That way I can relax and unwind during the main event. And this frozen strawberry pie is perfect for that! Yum! It’s just what to serve on a warm summer night…

    I was so happy that this recipe calls for making your own crust and used whipping cream instead of Cool Whip!
