Moms Do Spring StyleWhat can be more Moms Do Spring Style than a resort ready look for a Spring Break trip?! My hubby and I just had our first kid-free vacation in five years. Yes, you heard me correctly, FIVE years! We kept calling it our own adult spring break. We headed down to Cancun, Mexico for four days and had a blast. We were expecting to just lie around on the beach drinking margaritas in the sun. I mean that sounds pretty great right? Instead our inner child came out and we found ourselves on jet skis and parasailing and snorkeling. It was all so fabulous and I’ll be sure to do a whole post later on our trip and some of the wonderful places we experienced while there.

But back to the clothes. The real reason we’re all here. I took several photos of the outfits I brought down to Mexico with me and I’m guessing many of you are planning your own warm weather getaways and looks right now. For a morning of a leisurely breakfast and long walk, I wore my navy blue linen shorts. They are from J. Crew two summers ago and I still love them. You can find a similar pair here. My red and white top is also from J. Crew and I love the lace dot detailing along the sleeves and hem of the top. It really does a great job of balancing a comfortable silhouette with style and is on sale so snatch it up while you can. And of course I can’t leave home without my Shoreline Converse. Consider me addicted!

Florida NecklaceMy Florida necklace was a gift from one my besties and a sweet delicate reminder of my home state. I absolutely love it! They make great gifts and would even be cute for any graduates headed off to a school out of state. Here is an esty vendor for something similar and there are so many great ones on the site!

  1. I LOOOOVE that red & white striped top! My favorite excuse to dress up is… well, any excuse, really! In the summer, I use birthday parties as the most common excuse to get casual-fancy, & weddings, of course, as the best excuse to go full-on fancy. Lots of both coming up this year!

  52. I like to dress up for NYE if we’re going out. Used to have a fabulous restaurant right across the street from where we lived that did a great NYE dinner/party. The best thing was no driving! If we could manage to cross one street, we were safely home. THAT was fun!

  73. I love the red and white top! The detailing makes it special. My favorite dress up occasion is date night with the hubby. We work together so he sees me all day, every day. Date night is a treasure and I want him to do a double take?

  74. We dress up for Christmas Eve during the winter holidays. Right now I’m looking forward to finding an Easter dress, plus my grandson’s BD party the same weekend, so I’d like to find something cute for it.
