I’m a Florida girl through and through. I’ve lived here since I was small and that means I’ve been through my share of storms. We are blessed to not have had a direct hit here in Tampa in my lifetime, but they’re always telling us we’re over due. Yikes! Hence, why a storm preparedness kit is most necessary. And even if we weren’t directly hit, we’ve experienced plenty of rough weather thanks to storms that have slammed our state.
So, storm preparedness is something that’s always top of mind this time of year. And that means us Floridians, and anyone who lives in an area hurricanes have targeted, need to have storm preparedness kits, complete with must-haves like batteries, ready! That being said, as much as those of us who are likely to be in a hurricane’s path at some point worry about being hit, we don’t always prepare for a storm as much as we should. Once the storm is upon you it’s too late to stock up on all the necessities you may need if your city is struck.
