How To Make a Green Smoothie with Beech-Nut

As a mom of two VERY energetic boys, Jake (a 4-year-old) and Max (a 1 ½ year-old), it can be hard to get them to focus on food. After all, there are so many games to play! And like many parents, I really strive to make sure they are eating a balanced diet with healthy, nutritious foods.Smoothie Brothers
I wasn’t expecting Max to want to be just like his big brother so early on. I feel like everything is happening so much faster with him and he simply can’t wait to keep up. That even includes what he eats. If he sees his big brother eating something happily, he is all in! For us, this has meant that table foods are being introduced and consumed earlier than I had intended. He has even been known to sneak food off big brother’s plate when he isn’t looking!

Lucky for me, Jake loves his smoothies in the morning, and now so does Max! It’s a positive copycat effect! I’ve found this to be a great way to include vegetables and fruit into their diets, and even my own.Baby Food CloseBeech-Nut has been a great addition to our morning smoothie routine. While there are endless smoothie combinations using Beech-Nut foods, since both of my kiddos will happily slurp down green smoothies, I’m all for it. Using a jar of Beech-Nut, such as the Stage 2 Organics™ just peas & spinach, means that most of the work is already done for me. Ready to go with no washing or chopping needed! And they don’t have to be just for kids, I typically make enough for the whole family.Blending BeechNutHere is a simple green smoothie to get everyone through the morning rush.
