Butter Pecan Dalgona Coffee Recipe

I think it’s fair to assume that most of us have been on at TikTok at some point during all this craziness right? Well, apart from taking part in silly, yet completely entertaining, dance challenges that we’re probably far too old for, what else are we doing? We’re learning how to make whipped coffee right? That’s right we are! The Dalgona coffee trend has hit and it’s hit HARD my friends! 

Everybody who’s anybody seems to be stocking up on instant coffee and trying their hand at this latest coffee trend. You know I couldn’t be left out. I try to be slightly less than basic, but sometimes I fail miserably. I will not apologize for my love of Target, scented candles and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I am who I am.

So, when I saw all these kiddos making what looked like a delicious coffee dessert, I couldn’t want to try out Dalgona coffee myself. I mean how can you go wrong with WHIPPED coffee? If knew if it was anything like whipped cream, clearly I would love it. Haha! And I wasn’t wrong. Not only is Dalgona coffee totally easy to make at home, but there are so many variations to try!

Make Dalgona Coffee at Home

You’re probably wondering what Dalgona coffee variations are out there. I’m glad you asked. The answer is, plenty. And I’m going to share one of my favorites with you today! If you’ve yet to try the whipped coffee trend, this butter pecan Dalgona recipe is a great place to start!

If you’re a Southern girl like myself, then you’re probably already a butter pecan fan. I pretty much love pecan anything. Give me a nice slice of classic pecan pie with a side of butter pecan ice cream ANY day of the week. On that note, let’s talk about how to make Dalgona coffee Southern style!

Ingredients:

butter pecan creamer
milk (this recipe used 1%)
ice cubes
pecans
2 tbsp of instant coffee
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp hot water

Directions:

Mix together your instant coffee, sugar, and hot water until peaks are formed. (You can use a hand whisk, hand mixer or a stand mixer to achieve this.)

Butter Pecan Dalgona Coffee

Fill a glass with ice cubes and top with your desired amount of the butter pecan creamer. If you want a touch of butter pecan taste I suggest a teaspoon, but if you like bolder flavors you might want to go with a full on ounce.

Top the rest of the cup with your milk.

Add one to three spoonfuls of the whipped coffee mixture on top, then crush your pecans and sprinkle  them on top of the whipped coffee. YUM!

Dalgona Coffee Variations

Yield: 1

Butter Pecan Dalgona Coffee Recipe

Prep Time 3 minutes
Cook Time 2 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp butter pecan creamer
  • milk (I used 1%.)
  • ice cubes
  • pecans
  • 2 tbsp of instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp hot water

Instructions

    1. Whisk together instant coffee, sugar, and hot water until peaks are formed. (You can use a hand whisk, hand mixer or a stand mixer.)

    2. Fill your glass with ice cubes and top with your desired amount of butter pecan creamer. If you just want a touch of butter pecan taste try a teaspoon, but if you like bolder flavors you might want to go with a full ounce.

    3. Top the rest of your cup with your milk.

    5. Crush your pecans and sprinkle them on top of the whipped coffee.
